Thank you very much! I do wish that for the jam we had spent more time on getting the gameplay to work and less on the intro, but we are still happy with how the intro turned out and glad you were too! :D

Thank you both for your kind words! We definitely have a lot of plans for this and the story has gradually evolved into something larger than we ever intended and are excited to share those additions in the coming months! :)

Thank you so much for playing and your feedback! We are currently developing the full game and will be sharing updates soon! :D

I think I accidentally posted my comment in the wrong section, but anyways I love this game! Really great animations and love the writing! One of my favorite entries awesome job! :)

Excellent job! Definitely one of my favorite entries! Love the writing and humor! :)

Love the artwork and action system! Feels really satisfying to swing the scythe around! :)

Thank you for your feedback! I know! We actually did make a lot of gameplay, but we ran out of time before we could actually get it to function after the cutscene ended. Next time, we will manage our time more carefully. We hope you will stick around for the next update! :D

This is probably one of my favorite artstyles and definitelyt my favorite entry to the jam!!! Really fantastic work absolutely love it! :D

Thank you so very much! We are happy you enjoyed it! :D Stay tuned for updates post-jam! :)

Thank you so very much! We look forward to sharing future updates with you! :D

I love love love this game! The art, the music, the mood, all very fun and immediately pulled me in! Great job! :)

Thank you so much! She can definitely do some cool stuff! We will be showing it very soon! :)

Thank you so much! We deeply apologize that there was no gameplay, but we promise to add it as soon as possible so stay tuned! :)

Thank you so much for your feedback!  We are thinking sort of a blended visual novel action RPG, or something along those lines. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and some technical difficulties we were unable to showcase a lot of the content we made for it, but we promise to add it and release it once the jam is over! :)

I love the art and the concept. I think there needs to be more feedback when you land shots on the enemies. Maybe stun them or push them back a little bit. It would make the impact feel much better and also give the player more options than just jumping over them to escape them. Overall great job! :)

I have been clicking all over the place like a doofus, wondering where the links are.  Turns out the links aren't on here yet. But hey, if you got me clicking around for several minutes on a game I can't even play yet,  you must have done something right! xD  Can't wait to play it! :)

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you had fun! :)

Thank you we are glad you enjoyed it!!! :)

Hi everyone! I am super happy and proud to announce the launch of our first game ever: Jumping Gerbils!

Jumping Gerbils is a challenging endless platformer about a gerbil who is fighting to restore his destroyed world. It is a short, simple game with infinite replayability, a 4-directional platform movement system,  cute art, and a charming story that unfolds the longer you survive!

No upgrades, no power-ups, no items ... If you want to advance, you will need to rely purely on your platforming skills!

Currently available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux systems!

Q: How was this game made?

A: This game was made almost entirely by a solo developer over a course of 6+ months using Construct 3.

Q: Is this game really free?

A: Yes, really! No up front cost, ads, or in-app purchases! And no this is not a demo, it's the full game! Donations are welcome!

Q: Why is it free?

A: The lead developer's goal when making this game was to challenge himself to finish something, not to make profit. Of course, he hopes that one day he can make a living doing what he loves most—making games!

Q: If I donate, how will the money be spent?

A: Any donations will be used to finance updates to this game and future projects (which we have a LOT of!)

Q: Is there a mobile version?

A: Not yet! But we are working on a mobile release that will have added features and content! You can keep tabs on our progress by signing up for our free newsletter:

All feedback is welcome and appreciated!

Wow! Thank you so much! We are glad you enjoyed it! 😺
