Thank you for your kind words! I deeply value player feedback and criticism. Since this isn't a commercial game, I believe all progress stems from the dialogue between players and myself. Without this input, both the game and I as a developer would stagnate - a terrifying prospect.

It's great to see we're on the same page about ditching branching narratives. Given my current circumstances and future development plans, I'm genuinely hesitant to create branching content I might lose control over entirely down the line. The game is still in its early stages, where every step matters. I'd rather focus on a single storyline to build experience first. I'm very interested in the AVN games you mentioned, like Out of Touch and Cozy Cafe, and plan to study their narrative strategies in my free time.

You're absolutely right about the pacing concerns. The reason behind the slower relationship development and world-building is actually quite simple - I initially planned this as a long-term project with a 3-4 year story outline, so there's a lot of content to cover. Combined with being a solo indie developer working full-time elsewhere, I can only develop during my spare time. The current 3-month update cycle is honestly my limit, and even then I often find myself scrambling near deadlines! I'll definitely try to accelerate both character relationship progression and world-building in future chapters.

Regarding meaningful choice branches - you've hit on something I struggle with. Currently, all my choices are designed not to affect the main content because I'm honestly intimidated by creating real branching narratives. Once you add true branches, you need additional story design and have to consider conflicts and bugs between different paths. Perhaps when I become a more experienced developer, I'll tackle substantial choice systems, but for now I'm still learning the craft.

Your idea about choices that can damage relationships is intriguing, though it would require careful consideration of consequences (like potentially removing characters from the main storyline).

As for choosing between female characters - that's definitely the plan! However, we're not yet at the point where MC can develop serious romantic relationships with any of the main girls. There can be intimacy, but not lifelong commitment or marriage (since that would bring our main story to a halt). In the current design, MC will gradually develop emotionally meaningful interactions with all the main characters, but dedicated romantic routes with individual endings will likely come after the main story concludes.

Regarding the adult content suggestions, I've indeed received quite a bit of similar feedback from players. As a creator, I've been contemplating how to balance maintaining story integrity while also meeting players' expectations. You're absolutely right that I've been too conservative with the pacing of romantic relationship development.

In upcoming updates, I'll be accelerating the emotional development between characters and gradually incorporating more adult-oriented content. Of course, as you mentioned, I'll ensure these elements blend naturally with the storyline rather than feeling forced or excessive.

Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. You've hit on a criticism that several players have raised, and I want to address it head-on. You're absolutely right that the MC feels frustratingly passive in these early chapters, and I take full responsibility for this design flaw.

As a relatively new developer, I made some poor narrative choices that left the MC feeling powerless. Too many scenes where he can't fight back effectively, gets knocked out, or loses his gear - I understand how aggravating this must be when you want to play as someone who can actually handle themselves in this harsh world.

While I do have long-term character development plans for the MC (this is intended to be a multi-year project where he grows significantly), I realize I've been too heavy-handed with the "start from the bottom" approach. A compelling character arc doesn't require making the protagonist feel weak or incompetent for extended periods.

I'm actively reworking upcoming content to give the MC more agency and opportunities to demonstrate competence. You'll see more moments where he takes initiative, outsmarts opponents, and shows the skills that justify his cool appearance. The next major update will specifically address these concerns.

In the early stages of planning the game, I also considered making an RPG or other more interactive games, but considering that I had no experience in game development and my personal career plans, I ultimately decided to develop it as a visual novel project in my spare time ;)

I finally gathered the courage to read your 'long version' review. I was hesitant at first - reading thoughtful feedback on something you've poured your heart into can be both exciting and overwhelming. But now, let me honestly express my feelings.

Your thoughtful analysis and kind words have genuinely moved me. Your understanding of the themes, characters, and world I've tried to create in Apocalypse 2059 is astounding - you've captured exactly what I hoped to convey, and even noticed details and connections I wasn't sure anyone would discover. I've put considerable effort into character design. I love each character, treating them like my own children, trying to think from their perspectives. I wanted each character to have a compelling story and three-dimensional personality, maintained through their consistent motivations and deeper contradictions throughout. Each character is vibrant and alive, not just placeholders or inferior products designed out of plot necessity.

Moreover, your observations about the visual design, the symbolic meaning of focal length changes, and how lighting choices reflect the emotional tone of scenes - these insights are incredibly validating for me as a creator. I did incorporate some small design elements, and I'm delighted you discovered them, although they aren't fully refined. I've never formally studied these techniques before, and I'm still exploring these skills and designs, but I hope to do the best within my capabilities.

Beyond these two aspects, I have many more reflections and feelings, but I cannot summarize them clearly at the moment. I'm sure I'll spend a great deal of time reading and rereading your review, as its value speaks for itself. Please rest assured that this feedback won't create any artistic obstacles or pressure for me. Instead, it has strengthened my resolve, confirming that all my efforts and designs are worthwhile - they're simply waiting to be discovered.

Your observation that the protagonist seems a bit too passive in the story so far is spot on, and this is designed primarily to leave plenty of room for the character to grow so as to fully characterize his character arc and reveal his inner conflicts; that is to say, there will be more proactive moments in the future to showcase his own strengths. Yes! All female characters in the game may become potential love interests, and in subsequent stories you may be able to develop relationships with them through your own choices.

I think all girls are protagonists and it's normal for each player to fall in love with a different girl, and I try not to ignore any of them.

The first thing that needs to be made clear is that I'll probably need to cater to the largest number of players first and foremost, and offer as many options as possible on top of that. As for your question, I don't have a particular preference in that regard, so I'll make them as widely distributed as possible in terms of size, from small to large in all types, you get the idea ;)

As for features you mentioned above, I haven't planned it out in detail at the moment, but your suggestions are excellent! I think I can list the planned content and the content that will never come on this page, and update the former as much as possible to make sure that players are able to get a first-hand look at the genres of this title and decide whether or not to play it based on their personal preferences.

I can assure you and all players that NTR will not be added to the game in any form. I don't have any plans for lesbian/bisexual or femdom content at this time, but if a large number of players want this type of content, I may consider it from now on.

Of course, including the lesbian/bisexual content I mentioned, as well as any other content that might trigger your displeasure, I'll be implementing those elements in ways that can be avoided. I want to make the main storyline meet the expectations of many players, with IF routes and choices to cater to a variety of preferences. I want everyone to enjoy the game on their own playstyle.

I've been away from online interactions for a long time, so I'll answer your questions one by one :

・About "content": Don't worry. Players can choose 'pure love' scenarios, and all unpleasant elements can be completely avoided.

・About "ending": At the moment I'm not planning my ending very meticulously, as it's a long term project. The currently released version is about 25% of the first chapter of the first season (excluding the prologue and special chapters). The harem ending is a sure thing, it's a lighthearted visual novel, no girls will die or receive damage, and there aren't any same-sex competitors to snatch up girls from you. It's just like any other relationship simulation game you've ever played.

・About "tags": I'm still not very familiar with tags, and I will correct any mistakes. I try to make the tags accurately reflect the game content, not just to create topics.
