Thank you very much for taking the time and playing the demo, this is some fantastic feedback! Generally I agree, I also taught that it's difficult to know what can be picked up and what some of the powers ups do exactly. For the second one I'm working on a dedicated and detailed stats and build screen and a full power ups tree that'll show what each power progression looks like an what each tier does.

I will try to address most of these issues in the next demo hopefully!

Sure, I added you, thanks!

Ah yes, sorry about that, just adde some.

Hi,

I've just released the first playable demo of my upcoming game Nightveld.

Nightveld is an upcoming bullet-heaven of light vs shadows. It's a desktop bullet-heaven of light against shadow. Everything beyond your light is going to hunt you, and your only weapon is the light you cast. I'm looking for feedback on the fairness and difficult ramp up, the visuals, the sfx, anything really. In this demo, you will play the first 10 nights (waves) of the game and get to fight the first boss (The Gloaming).

You can download for macOS or Windows on the page https://beshr.itch.io/nightveld/

Edit: Added some screenshots

Hi all,

I've been working on a game called Nightveld, I just setup the itch.io page a couple of days ago and I'm starting to share some more details about it, though I've been working on it for a couple of months.

The short pitch is this:  Demons are pouring out of the dark nothingness and you are a single point of light in the NIGHTVELD. Everything beyond your light is going to hunt you. Nightveld is a desktop bullet-heaven of light against shadow. The dark is full of things that want you, and your only weapon is the light you cast.

Here's a quick gameplay video

I've been working for the past week on preparing a play testable demo (not yet ready but very soon, maybe a few days), but one thing I wanted to try out before is having the enemies (called Shades) cast shadows from the light source the player emits. I think it worked beautifully, so I wanted to share and get any feedback.

If anyone is interested in following the journey, please check https://beshr.itch.io/nightveld, especially if you're is interested in play testing. Some more screenshots on the game page.

Thanks for reading!

Fun concept! I like it. I slightly found it a bit too easy, or maybe I misunderstood something, but possibly the difficulty ramp up should be a bit quicker?

Hi all!

After months of tinkering, I’m excited to share Sudecku, a mashup of the classic Sudoku logic with a deck of rule‑bending power cards. Inspired by Cracking the Cryptic variants, it adds strategy without losing those clean cell-filling moments.

In Sudecku, you get to solve Sudoku with cards, the constraint being you can only have a specific number of cards in your hand. But you also get to play power cards to bend the rules a bit, at the cost of your final score.

This is my first personal iOS app, built in Swift with SpriteKit. Huge thanks to my wife for relentless playtesting, great ideas, and the name, Sudecku!

The game is paid ($4.99), no IAP or ads though.

I’d love your feedback, bug reports, and ideas for new cards/variants!

Hey! Would you consider making an 8-direction version of this? For a higher price of course
