Thank you!

Thank you! towards the end of development When I started finishing the enemy ai the collisions started acting weird, so I do need to work on that.

Thank you!

Thanks for the kind comments.

I've thought about if I should make other games, or continue working on this one, since it is still very unfinished.
I think I want to try getting this game to a more presentable state before I decide to join another jam or make this game into a full fledged one or something.

Thanks for playing to the end.

With the mysterious story I definitely threw it together to make something kind of fun. I actually have plans for a story that is inspired by games like Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, there just wasn't time for that.

I feel like I put way too much time into the inventory even if it did turn out cooler. I thought that if I didn't add levels of customizability when I uploaded to itch the aspect ratios of different monitors would break the scaling, but I'm pretty sure I was wrong about that.

The 2d side scrolling mixed with a flat 2d open world reminded me a lot of zelda 2, and even more-so when I had to go to a town tavern to figure out how to navigate an invisible maze. I liked it's simplicity and the layout was enough for me to try to play it to the end.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to complete it. I got to the desert dungeon for the second time after acquiring the projectile spell, and I had to get the fragment of air and fire. After traveling up I found a fragment of air in a perfectly square room, and after traveling down I found a similar perfectly square room. Im assuming this is where the fragment of fire would be, but there was nothing there. Let me know if I was doing something wrong.

I really like the setup going here. The only thing I'd say is wrong is the jumping noise. It was cute at first but quickly started to murder my ears.

I'd love to see how what the different spells do if you decide to put some more work into this, the sort of revolver chamber of spells seems really fun.

This was a pretty fun little game to play. It has a lot of bugs, but it was made in a limited time period.

I liked how it had the basics of a save system, so that when I died I would respawn on the same screen, and if I turned the game off and on I would be at the beginning of the same screen after hitting continue.

Even though you guys didnt get to finish this, what you made is still a pretty cool sandbox. The paint gun reminds me of portal's gel mechanics, and I think it could make for some solid platforming.

I had a lot of fun just running around the cave and getting to the end of it and then going back.

On the aspect of metroidvania, since you have different paints, those could be unlockables that you could get as a reward for exploring or completing things, and the new paints would allow the player to explore more. This seems like the idea you guys were going for, and if it is, I really like it. I normally don't like the idea of a 3d metroidvania, but this setup seems really cool to me.

in the room opposite of that you should be able to find a flask of fire and when you throw that at the door it will burn  down

Hi, I have a really late submission. It's called Alchemist's Crescendo.
heres the link :https://benjano279.itch.io/alchemists-crescendo

this is the first game jam i've been in and I definitely slacked a lot with elden ring coming out, but I got this to what I think is a presentable state so I wanted to share it.
