Played through the whole thing, it's kinda fun and very misterious (why tf am I a rat throwing potions at other rats and monsters?)

The throwing curve is very smooth and feels nice. Also the inventory is very cool, I like that I can adjust the size of it.

The game is nice, but pretty raw. I hope you keep working on it!

Thanks for playing to the end.

With the mysterious story I definitely threw it together to make something kind of fun. I actually have plans for a story that is inspired by games like Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, there just wasn't time for that.

I feel like I put way too much time into the inventory even if it did turn out cooler. I thought that if I didn't add levels of customizability when I uploaded to itch the aspect ratios of different monitors would break the scaling, but I'm pretty sure I was wrong about that.

I think if you go to Project Settings -> Window and on aspect you chose "keep" than it stays "responsive" on any monitor size.

Nice one!  The movement is smooth and I  like that you gave the throw arc to aid in aiming.  The inventory system is pretty cool too.

Developer

Thank you!

You did pretty good job with this game for this jam. Be proud of inventory and crafting system.
Start making some other game (other genre), maybe take part in other jam. Make 5 - 6 games and then you will learn a lot about game development.

Thanks for the kind comments.

I've thought about if I should make other games, or continue working on this one, since it is still very unfinished.
I think I want to try getting this game to a more presentable state before I decide to join another jam or make this game into a full fledged one or something.

Good game, good job!

Thank you!

I really like a lot of the crafting concepts here. Movement and enemies could use some polishing, however

Developer

Thank you! towards the end of development When I started finishing the enemy ai the collisions started acting weird, so I do need to work on that.

What I liked

  • I really liked the arching projectiles
  • Controls and player movement felt fine

Unless I missed something, it seemed there were only three accessible rooms. There was a door that I couldn't open and I couldn't find anything resembling an alchemy table. The description says you got sidetracked so maybe you just didn't implement it.

Congrats on submitting!

in the room opposite of that you should be able to find a flask of fire and when you throw that at the door it will burn  down
