same here on Bigsur, but this solved the problem for me
sudo chmod -R 755 Hacknet.app

But the app freezes after launching the first session...  but the freezing point is random, something in the "boot", sometimes later when in the game where tutorial is on the left

I love it, would you consider after the fact "edits" ? like I want to use it for DM for some homebrew campaign, love the initial randomness, but sometimes I'd like to tweak (remove a room, add an entrance, ...)
