Hi there!

Triangles in a big triangle?

What is it?!

This is T R I V E R S E, your new puzzle game. : )

You can play it here, right in your browser and it's free:

https://atavismus.itch.io/triverse

Thanks for your attention and have a nice weekend!

Thanks for playing and commenting! : )

Well, tiles will be only triangles otherwise, it would be a totally different game I guess.

Mind, you can make up to 16 shapes, did you find them all?

Something we could add is different shapes for the board.

Have a great weekend! ; )

Hi there!

"Jumping with JavaScript joy" yeah!
So what about checking ctjs?
https://ctjs.rocks/

Have a good gamedev! ; )

Hi there!

I just wanted to say thanks for sharing. : )

Btw, I really like your vision:

"As I dig through my old files, I find a lot of assets and whatnots that I have made, but never used. Instead of letting them collect dust on my hard drive, I would rather publish them out here".

Keep up the good work and good luck with your projects!

Thomas

PS: That asset pack is very good and inspiring (makes me wanna code one more prototype ^^)

Thanks a lot IngeneniousPhoenix!
Indeed, every game should have keys rebinding but, as you guess, I ran out of time.
Well, if I get enough positive feedback, I'll make a post-compo version or even a full-length game. ; )
Why not in another "universe", I wonder what players would prefer.

Thanks a lot, SoulWolfx, I'm really glad you enjoy the game.

Also, I really like the way you explain why because it's what I wanted to achieve.

Thanks a lot!

I was thinking about "soften" the instant-death indeed. It's not because they are obvious to me that they are obvious hehe

An alternative I used is "left for dead" (I don't know if you get it), it's harsh but it's still a chance to win.

I hope I'll be able to play most of the games and yours, but I have some deadlines for the next weeks.

Good luck all and have fun! : )

Thanks a lot for your feedback, really appreciated.

Let me know if you try the last version and if you won. ; )

Hi there!

Thanks for playing/reviewing/kind words.

I plan to add a "Help" screen.
Also, you are totally right, I feel the same, the game needs more visual and sound feedback.
It was on my todo list, but, unfortunately, I had to make choices.
I'm adding them in the post-compo version.

Take care!

PS: Nice "guitar hero" snowboard game. ; )

Hi there!

I feel really sorry about that ice block bug. : (
I imagine how it could be frustrating and spoil the fun.

Indeed, I didn't have time to implement the coming of Marisa and Sakuya, but there is a win condition at XXXXX xp (canceled bullets).

There is a determined sequence of different patterns, then randomized patterns.

Indeed, I need a better balance, I'm working on post-compo version.

Thanks for playing. : )

Take care!

Thanks CKenshin, your real bullet hell is good. : )

I took note about the track (I thought music was auto loop, but maybe not hehe).

Take care!

Hi there!

Here is my entry for the TouhouJam:

https://atavismus.itch.io/touhou-the-neverending-winter-curse

It's a kind of bullet hell with some tower defense hints.

I'm rather happy with the result but the balance is worrying me a bit, so I'm already working on a post-compo version. ; )
Anyway, let me know if it's still enjoyable.

Also, 60 more entries are waiting for you. : )
Please, rate the games you like.

Last but not least, big shoutouts to:

I won't bother you any longer, you have dozens of games to play! :D

Take care all!

Thomas

Nice game too ReiMari. : )

Thanks for your feedback.

It's not you, it's my balance, I ran out of time.

I also noticed the "stuck in ice blocks", it seems rather rare but still buggy, it will be fixed in the post-compo version.

Take care!

Hi there!

Thanks for playing. : )

Indeed, I didn't have time to implement their coming, but there is a win condition at XXXXX xp.

There is a determined sequence of different patterns, then randomized patterns.

I saw your entry, nice game too. ; )

Take care!

Thanks a lot for the kind words.

I'm very glad you enjoyed playing. : )

Did you succeed to finish it?

I fear it's too hard when the Danmaku patterns come (unfortunately, I ran out of time and the balance was unfinished).

I checked your game, it looks very neat, I will play it asap. ; )

Take care!

Hi there,

Sorry to read about that situation and not be able to help.
I contacted him (on Twitter I guess) when I released Yersisland, but I never get a reply.

Let's hope he is fine and only bored by online life. ; )

Good luck with your searches. : )

Thanks!

I wonder if a full game won't be too much.

I mean, too much unease and it would mean probably dig maybe too much deep in player conscience.

Anyway, I'm glad to see we get a rather similar idea in a way.

Also, as for L45ER_BOT, I hope I'll have time to try your game before the end of voting.

Take care!

Thanks!

I hope I'll have time to try your game before the end of voting.

But for sure, I really like the aesthetic of L45ER_BOT.

Checking your projects list, I noticed I already tested some of them.

I remember I especially liked Water Sources.

Take care!

Nope, but it's really easy:

I used the "Google UK English Male" voice and set the pitch to 0.1 and rate to 0.9.

If you need more code, just let me know. ; )

Thanks for playing and streaming (all the games).

All in all, I'm rather agree with you.

That's why I call it more tech experimentation than a game.

Also, unfortunately, I don't think the API allows to add whispers, intonations, etc.

Btw, that's why I chose a modified psychopath voice (and such a weird theme): because whatever I did the voice didn't sound natural.

Anyway, nothing will probably be better than a real human voice, with feelings, current mood, and a background. ; )

Neat shmup, with good gfx and an interesting mirror implementation.

I guess you could go further and add more mirror stuff.

Anyway, good job!

Thanks!

Well, make a creepy voice is easier than a realistic one. ^^

That's why I come up with such a dark and weird story.

I was unease myself to write it. :D

Anyway, time to play your shmup. ; )

Thanks!

Sorry about this (the main interest of the game is voice imo), but I'm not surprised.

As MDN stated, the Web Speech API is still experimental and it depends on browsers and operating systems (especially regarding the number of available voices).

To be true, for that reason, I hesitated to publish it for the jam, that's why I call it more like an experimentation than a game.

Anyway, thanks for playing.

Btw, I noticed your game but still get no time to play it properly for the moment.

It looks very interesting. ; )

Finally, I played more (beat the AI), commented, and ranked. ; )

One of my favorite concepts of the whole jam!

Very innovative.

I guess you should go on with it. ; )

Thanks!

Just played, commented, and ranked your game. ; )

Neat and chilling out game!

As a point'n'click lover, I want more. ; )

Good luck with the post-compo! : )

Thanks! : )

Well, surprising people was the main idea.

As I wrote, it's more experimentation of a still-experimental API (so the limited support and some weird bugs) than a real game.

This is also what jams are made for I guess.

Oh, just saw your entry: I really like the idea! ; )

(I'll play more later)

Take care!

(1 edit)

Thanks!

Well, you can read the post here:

https://im-a-ctjs-gamedev.netlify.app/perlin-map-and-minimap

You can download the source on itchio.

To open the project, you'll have to download ct.js:

https://ctjs.rocks/

If you have more specific questions, let me know. : )

Thanks!

What could I improve according to you?

What you you expect in such game?

Solid entry with a real potential imo.

Well done!

Thx.

I guess you can't reach 10 points of reputation...

I'm reworking the reputation system btw and your idea is interesting. ; )

Have a good week!

Strong entry!

Congratz!

I had a good laugh! :D

Awesome anim at the end indeed!

GG!

(Maybe I should buy a roomba, just in case...)

Thx a lot!

I'm glad it's relaxing. Still I'm trying now to balance the game so the player feels she/he has to choose and adapt carefully to progress and counter Plague.

Again, I'm really glad to hear such comment. : )

There is no win  state for the moment.

I wonder about adding stone resource and the goal would be to build a kind of expensive "wonder" to end the Plague.

Maybe you have your own idea?

I'm really glad to hear it. : )

If you have in mind stuffs I could add/improve for a "post post jam" version, let me know. ; )

Don't worry about toilet paper supply ^^, we don't need stock here, there is no shortage.

Thx! I'm trying to develop that potential.

What would you expect?

Neat and fun! ^^

Funny ^^
