Hello! Just stumbled across this game and thought I'd share a few thoughts.

  1. Was surprised by the voice-acted intro. Pleasantly of course.
  2. I noticed some spelling/grammar mistakes but only a couple. For AVNs, I always recommend putting them through some sort of spell/grammar check for quality.
  3. I enjoyed the animations as well. I'm not sure what magic you used, but I was able to play this on my low-specs laptop without lagging or crashing from them! Whatever it is, keep doing it lol.

Other than that, this seems like a really cool project! I guess my only fear or concern is the game becoming too femdom-centric? Respect to the fetish, but I'm much more interested in getting to know the characters and developing a relationship that way.

Thanks for the reply! Shows that you care and are listening. Hope I didn't come off as too critical, just wanted to give my honest feedback. Thank you for your hand work. Can't wait for the next part!

Amazing game! I came to be horny but this came kept me engaged all of the way through. The models are great and so is the writing. I was so sad when I reached the end of the current version!

Every character is charming or interesting; even the cliche ones have layers that I can't wait to see flesh out! Very excited to see the next chapter of New Antioch and its world and characters!

Seems like a very cool project! I can see all the effort you're putting in, and I appreciate it.  I just have a couple of notes.

You have a report button for grammar and spelling mistakes, and this isn't really a mistake, but I see that the game translates "*laugh*" to "lol"? "lol" isn't really something people say out loud and idk why it changes to lol when *laugh* is just fine. Not a big deal, it's just a bit immersion-breaking. Some bits of dialogue also had "\insert text here"\ weird slashes in them? I had thought this was a mistake, but there were so many, I was beginning to think it was intentional? I sent feedback on some of them just in case they weren't.

There are also "jokes"(?) that I don't understand? When you get your room, there's a random remark about F95 players not understanding the plot? And a few other jokes like that. I don't mind 4th wall jokes or meta humor, but some of them seem out of nowhere and don't fit the mood.

Other than that, I really enjoyed what I played so far even though my laptop couldn't handle much of it. lol. In the future, I hope you add things optional to do between the days? I know it's early, but I found myself skipping through days just to get to the next event.

I can't download the archive.rpa file, I keep getting the 0x8000x4005 error and can't play.

Love the game so far, but the new characters feel a bit too similar to the last ones personality-wise. I'm hoping that will change in the future, but if not, I'll at least put my faith in the "customization of scenarios" aspect of the game.

Honestly, I am getting a little antsy for the next update, but that's why I love these progress reports. This is shaping up to be one of my favorite VNs, and watching it grow and hearing how hard you're working on it is actually really satisfying.

Not many VN authors are... how do I say... "transparent"(?) about how far along they are. Just saying "It'll be done when it's done" can quickly alienate fans or just leave them straight up forgetting about your project, especially if you are taking longer than originally said. So I really appreciate these updates, because you don't have to do them, but it comes across as really thoughtful to your fans. Thanks!

Love the game! I've been playing for 12ish hours so far, exploring and testing different things out. I can see how much effort you put into it and I am really impressed! I can't wait to follow along and see how it develops.

If I had any feedback, it'd maybe be limiting the number of generated characters? Unless there's an option I missed. You rarely see any of the same characters outside of classmates and your dormmates. As for the ones you see outside, like at the bar or arcade, there doesn't seem to be a way to call on those characters aside from randomly seeing them again. You also automatically acquire the number of people you befriend which can really clog up your phone. On one saved file, I think I had 5 pages of "friends"? Limiting who gets your number might be a good idea too. I really can't tell but it almost feels like the game is constantly making new characters which would lower the chances of meeting previous characters you have rapport with. Unless, again, the number of generated characters is just that high.

I know the game is still young, but it's kind of crazy how far and how few story/character events are, given how much time we have in a given day. After a month or two in-game, I couldn't tell if there was anything left to do, or if progressing was just spaced out THAT much. I know you're working on adding more content, but it's just something that becomes quite noticeable with the current version.

I'm still messing around with the dating system, but it becomes harder(?) to do anything sexual after becoming romantic with a character? Maybe I'm just doing something wrong or picking the wrong options, haha.

So there are a couple of things I'm confused and a little upset about, from a developer's standpoint.

Why have you made 4 separate game pages for the same (?) game? You have the original revised version, the 2 love versions, and now this incest version. Isn't it all the same game? They don't really seem to be all that different from each other to warrant making a different page for it. If it is all just the same game, then delete the other versions. I feel like each "version" is just a regular update from the previous one, and in that case, keep it all on one game page. You can just write devlog posts telling us what's new and we will still be notified of the updates.

If they ARE different versions of the game, then you need to specify what's different about them. All 4 game pages pretty much have the same description. Because the names imply that the Love Version has more "romance" than the others and the Incest Version has incest in it while the others do not.

Even if they are all different games with different endings and dialogue, can't you just make that one big game? Just like with Futa content, you can give us options to romance or not romance a character, and see or not see incest scenes.

---

As for my actual thoughts on the game so far, I don't take it too seriously. it's pretty funny and entertaining, but it's lacking ... "that something" I can't quite identify. In trying to understand the differences, I deleted my previous save and started the game from the beginning. I was hoping I'd recapture that intrigue I had when you first released it, but it felt a little... boring if I'm being honest. The story is very linear, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it also lacks anything interactive. The FIRST choice in the game is asking if we want futa content or not.

I think I've mentioned something similar in reviewing your previous game, "Our Secret" or on a previous version of this one, but personally speaking, I prefer games where the main character is more of a blank slate for us to add more of our own thoughts and opinions to the game. Which, depending on the story, can't be helped. In a story about a rich frat boy getting sucked into a world of magic and sexy monsters, I expect his personality to be a little douche-y. But a good writer/developer can still allow the player to be a GOOD douche/frat boy or the BIGGEST douche/frat boy by giving them options to personalize their experience.

Here in this game, you're pretty much a clean slate as a withdrawn nerd who got abducted. The player should be able to say/react however we want. But it doesn't feel like I'm playing a game as me, Asterr, but just reading a story about the protagonist, "Mark". And if that's the case, why even make this a game at all? Giving us options to say "Go Left" or "Go Right", "I like Chocolate" or "I like Vanilla", not only makes your game less boring and more immersive, it gives it replay value!

For example, when Aisha assaults Mark in her sleep and wakes up, she is confused and Mark screams "YOU R*PED ME!" I remember it being pretty funny the first time around, and also a logical option to do to avoid conflict with her, given her personality. It's also kinda true that she did assault you. But in hindsight, it's kinda a shitty way to handle the situation and very manipulative on Mark's part. If given the option, I would've chosen to approach the situation more softly.

By the time I got to Vasilisa, I found myself just clicking through the dialogue without reading it. I remembered the general premise of what they wanted and just wanted to move on to the newer parts of the game, but soon after, I just ended up taking a break. I was so disassociated from the game and story, that I found it hard to press forward.

Mark feels like a 5-year-old in a candy store, licking and eating everything just because he can. And why wouldn't he? There are no consequences. The way he just takes advantage of anyone and everything just really takes me out of the experience.

---

Of course, I say none of this to say the game is bad or boring, or that you're a bad developer. I just genuinely want to give you honest feedback compared to the many, many games like this I've played.

This game will probably be pretty funny and interesting for first-time players, but after playing it once it's completely done, I can't see myself ever booting it up again. Maybe it's just not my type of game and that's okay. I don't want to force my definition of what a "good game" is upon you. More than anything, I just want to encourage you to push yourself more. Adult 18+ games can be SO MUCH MORE than just fap material. They can be adventure games, mystery, action, and even scary! Characters can be deep and interesting! You can even dive into deep topics like self-harm and abuse if you want to make a game that deep.

I can tell just from "Our Secret" that you can tell really interesting stories! And I'm interested in that. When I get the chance, I'll definitely try "Futanari Universe".

I stopped at the Casino because I was just intially curious as to what kind of game you made. Not sure how long or short it is. I'll probably finish at a later time to give my proper thoughts. But I did catch a couple of errors.

When picking a contestant from the Game Show level I received:

Error: cannot execute macro <<include>>: Story.has title parameter cannot be undefined
<<include $floor1ZombieMapW>>

Also, the music reaching the Casino from the elevator sounds weird. I'm not sure if it's one song or two songs playing at once, but definitely sounds weird.

Thanks for the update. Enjoy your trip.

Sorry, I'm confused by all these versions. What's the difference between this and the Standalone version...?

It's such a shame. I was really enjoying the story. And the irony is, I was interested in the grandma the most.

As far as what to do going forward, I won't tell you what to do but don't be afraid to interact with your community. You can't please everybody, but it'd be nice to be involved by Patreon/Discord polls or whatever else. At least that way, we can all push forward with a game we're happy with. But a finished product YOU'RE happy with is the most important.

Best wishes.

I'd lie if I said I wasn't disappointed in your decision. I wasn't interested in the gay content, but I was interested in the Futa stuff. Even then, I still liked how you did include gay content as an option; it felt inclusive. There aren't many games like this that have gay/futa scenes.

I'll still follow the game for the story, but in the future, I really hope you double down on your decision if you make another game that has gay, futa, or whatever you want in it. There will always be people who aren't into something, and if so, just make it skippable. Then, there's nothing to complain about.

Great game, but if I had any criticisms, it would be the alpha/beta points. I played without and with the walkthrough, and points seem too scarce if you're aiming for a balanced ending. By chapter 4 or 5, there are little to none available if you're trying to change the ending you're going for. It really affected my enjoyment of the game and the narrative.

I am however really enjoying Our Island, and as that game is, it's a 10/10, but if you do make a sequel to this game, and decide to bring back the point system, I would give the player alpha, beta, AND a neutral option during EACH interaction where points are available in EVERY chapter.

Not sure why this is downvoted when it's true.

Here, we only have version 0.6, but version 0.9 is available to his patrons. Forget the public release updates being available a month or two after the early release. We're missing almost 1 year's worth of updates.

For anyone who was really into this game, I recommend checking the Discord to see what's up, but I don't Discords.

So, f**k me, I guess.

Will there be a fast travel system? I kind of gave up because I couldn't find the bridge or the classes. Map didn't really help.

Just wanted to say thank you. Your games are so much more than just Adult VNs; they are quality experiences. The world, the characters, and the writing are all top-notch. Whether you'll post your next VN project on Itch or not, I'll support you wherever you choose to go.

Much appreciated! You can keep the font if you like it. I'd just try it with a text box first. Play around with it to see what works for you and the players :)

(1 edit)

I highly recommend a text box for the game. I dunno if the text is smaller compared to other games, or maybe it's just the font, but the lack of a text box really puts a strain on the eyes in certain sections. Your game has more white than you think, and you end up with sections like this where the easiest thing to read is the text over her blouse. Especially in the school. This is just one of many examples.

I have received a LOT of errors regarding the Ladies Man perk.

Stuff like:

"game/system/function_library.rpy", line 4464, in ladies_man_perk TypeError: 'int' object is not subscriptable

Interacting with groping characters or characters being groped also causes errors.

Are these known errors?

I really like the idea of a horny-horror game lol. You did a good job establishing the atmosphere. But it's kinda hard to be horny and scared, ya know? lol

Some people above weren't scared, but I was really creeped out by the doll and was really pulled in by the sounds and music. Being in a house in the middle of nowhere with no phone or weapons? It really got my heart racing. You did a good job. My only concern is the addition of jumpscares. If you plan to put them in, I'd go easy on them and not add any during sex scenes. Or at the very least, after the sex is over lol.

I'm really interested in the doll, Valilisa, I think you named her? I'd be interested in establishing some kind of relationship with the doll. Like the player talking to it and getting to know it, just like the grandmother. Even if it's evil or you plan to give it ulterior motives (like each wish sucking his soul or something), It'd still be cool to conversate somehow. The player already knows that it moves, might as well let it talk. Or maybe communicate by ouija board or something. Don't be afraid to establish some real lore with it either. Like the player researching where it came from and where his grandmother might've gotten from; add some mystery to the game too.

I also would not be opposed to a... larger form of the doll... People have already Rule 34'd Valek from The Nun and Chucky's wife Tiff (for obvious reasons) so I'm totally down for uh... sex with it... Man, I'm kinkier than I thought...

Just saying this now because the game is really early in development, but I think what a lot of devs do, and what I hate about these games sometimes, is that they don't give the player enough choices. Yeah, it's a novel, but also a game. Give players a say in what to do or don't in situations. The part where your aunt was showering was a good example, but what about the ghost knock on the door? That was an intense moment where you could've let the player open the door anyway, grab something for defense, or given them the CHOICE to do that "tell your aunt to call the police" improv. Make it interactive.

Also don't just let Choice A and Choice B be the difference between showing a scene or not, but let it be the difference between branching paths too. For example, let's say you add a Goth Chick character. Goth Girl helps you learn about the doll. She's super flirty and likes to have sex, but is cold and selfish otherwise. She seduces you the first day you met her, but you decline cause she's too aggressive and coming on too strong. Instead of locking the player out of a sex scene, let it be a chance to actually get to know her instead. Maybe later on from your options, you can make a more kind and caring person by the end.

EDIT: One last thing: I'd also look into the model variety. I'm not sure where you guys are getting your models, but I've played so many of these games that I'm starting to recognize their faces. It's fine for a background character, but I'd really look into giving the face of the main characters something that's not pre-made or pre-built. I know that may sound easier said than done if you don't have 3D model experience or a 3D model guy on your team, but I've seen the aunt in at least 4 different games now.  Sometimes with the exact same haircut.

Sorry if I rambled. Nor am I trying to tell you how to make your game. Hard to tell when a dev actually cares about feedback, nor do they really ask for it. But everything I've said is up to you. I'm just throwing ideas out.

Now I'm going to go try UFO. I look forward to seeing how your games develop!

So I played the first chapter, and I must say it felt really... off? Spoilers I guess, but I didn't like how everything just goes immediately into "please impregnate my wife". The characters have known each other for years, but there wasn't enough time for the player to get to know them before the dinner scene. I guess I just expected more dialogue and events before that.

Secondly, Jona later brings up something like "well that's what they did back in the old days", but how come subjects like surrogates and sperm donation weren't brought up at all? I am 100% for Netori, but if you're going for a serious thriller where you're talking about heavy stuff like the inability to have children, I feel like more realistic things like that should've been brought up.

If the game had a light, fun, and sexy atmosphere like a lot of other adult novels, I wouldn't care. But in the type of game I think you're going for? I'm not sure how to put it into words, but I would really consider "how would this happen in most real-life situations?" and "how do I want this to happen?", and weave together those two things moving forward; makes everything more believable and easy to swallow that way.

I'm not trying to tell you how to make your game, just wanted to give you some honest feedback.

Hello! I've been playing the game for a few days and I've taken some notes. Some of these points can be seen as nitpicks, but it's your game so you get to decide what to change or not.

  • Influencing seems a little slow. I would think about increasing the influence amount. And maybe increasing it even more during sex? Just a thought.
  • What counts as Massaging? I'm not sure what that's for. Handjobs, hugs, and most other "hand" interactions count as caressing.
  • I mean no offense of course, but it seems English may or not be your first language. I recommend running the game text through a word document for spelling and grammar checks before you add it to the game. I caught the word "exige" in the personality train help guide under "Clean", which I think is Spanish, and a few other spelling/grammar mistakes in random areas.
  • When talking to characters, they'll say something like "we have no interests in common". What counts as a "shared interest"? If you maximize both of all characters' interests or even just 2 to 5 interests, you still get "we have no interests in common".
  • Phone calls seem to be automatic after a certain amount of time has passed, or possibly when a character is feeling needy. If you get the phone numbers of 5 characters on the same day, then they will call around the same time. I think whether a character is socially or sexually needy should randomly increase or decrease when you're not interacting with the character. This will make phone calls more random and spread out, AND more frequent at the same time. Personality traits should factor in this as well.
  • Who initiates hugs, kisses, and flirting shouldn't really increase/decrease Submission. Slapping Ass and maybe Chest Touching should, but not the others. Those are simple gestures of affection and shouldn't change who the dominant is in the relationship.
  • I think gifting Items should increase Friendship. Most of the time, you're giving them 2 or 3 items to make them less tired or more healthy; that's an investment. It would just make more sense that the NPC would grow closer to you.
  • Catching someone masturbating in a bush at the beach still counts as "opening a door" on them. Since they're doing it in public, I would come up with a whole new interaction for this event. Or just default it all to the "Oh! You caught me."
  • Personal Questions or Sexual Questions should increase arousal in the player and NPC, unless a personal trait like Demure or something like that.
  • Allow NPCs to approach you. If you're not talking to someone and they are feeling needy, let them randomly initiate conversation.
    • Side Note: If you're not working on it already, I would add a "Preference System" for the NPCs. Maybe they prefer tall people or short people, Thin or fat, lighter skin, or dark skin, etc.
  • You're probably also working on this, but I would add more things to do, specifically on the Weekends. I would look into adding Minigames. Maybe an Arcade building or a DDR Keyboard minigame at the nightclub.

I have more things I can recommend, but this post is getting long. You have an amazing game here, especially being built from the Ren'Py engine, you should be proud! I look forward to playing this game and maybe even supporting it financially in the future!

Silly Question: Can I skip updates? Like, if I have version 5.5, can I download 5.9 and be caught up? Or do I have to download 5.6 to 5.8 as well?

Hey! I wanted to check out some of your other projects and came across this game. I don't know if this is something still being worked on, but I've noticed some technical issues early on. There was also another regarding if your character was moon, mind, or sun when starting.

I think it's overall too hard. I highly recommend replacing it with a different minigame altogether. Maybe giving us full control of the hotdog with WASD or something but a Flappy Bird game? I just didn't find that appealing. Dodging 5 balloons? Yeah. 7 Balloons? Fair. 10? Excessive, but doable. But 15 balloons? After a certain point, the amount of effort I put in didn't seem worth the time.

Hello! This is a very beautiful and relaxing game. I enjoyed reading and learning Maori words and customs. It made me interested to learn more. I hope you're proud of this game, as you should be! I also started learning Twine a few days ago.

Thanks for the suggestion! I look into VPNs as well.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will try that next time I download from Mega.

PLEASE offer alternative ways to download your game besides Mega.nz, I literally can't think of a worse place to put your files, It's such a hassle downloading anything from there. I got to 99%, waited for an hour for it to decrypt, and when nothing happened and I tried to download again, Mega.nz said I reached some kind of limit and I have to wait 5 hours? This happens with almost every game I try.

Mediafire, gofile, anonfiles, and even GoogleDrive are excellent alternatives. ANYTHING but Mega.nz ...

Hey, I've been playing your game for a few months now, almost half a year, and I absolutely love it. I'm not monetarily ready to support you financially, but when I am, I will. As someone who has never played a game like The Sims/MySims, this is a huge f2p contender.

I would also love to be a part of your bug fixing team, but I don't want to set up a discord (don't like discord). Is there a plan to set up a forum or pinned message section here? I also noticed a lot comments/questions here go unanswered.

I'd also like to recommend a scenario writing team. Adding more interactions and scenarios would keep the game fresh. Not for quests, but just for small random stuff like taking a lover on date or something and getting mugged; having need to pass a martial arts check to beat them.

Oh, my bad. Just tried it myself.

You're right. It is forced.

My only defense for the devs is that Falesha has significance with the story later on, otherwise, they SHOULD change that.

How was it forced?

While I do agree you should always be able to decline/stop sexual encounters, Falesha's sex scene is NOT forced.  You can choose not to help her move.

And though I do think you should be able to help her AND decline her sexual offer, at the same time, this is a horny time game; kinda get what you ask for as far as everything leading to romance/sex.

I'd change the Falesha scene, but I wouldn't be mad if the devs didn't... It's a non-issue.

(1 edit)

Man, I really don't want to sound like "THAT" guy, but as amazing as this game is, I think the biggest problem for me is the dialogue (or lack thereof). Aside from explorations and choosing who I talk to, I don't feel like I'm part of the conversation or game at all. I really think A LOT more text options should be included in the game. Let the player ask questions, say what's on their mind, give us the option of choosing whether to look up skirts or not, etc.

Again, the game looks amazing and the story is interesting, I can even play it on my laptop without chugging and overheating. But to be honest? I would rather take a game with still models and a lot of diologue options that a game with fancy animations where it feels I'm more like a bystander; I feel like that's what Ren'py style games are all about.

But I may be in the minority on that. Either way, great job with the game.

Wasn't there going to be a sequel to this game? Was it canceled?
