Hey! This is actually a loadda fu - OH MY GOD GIGANTIC BO (Title screen)

Yeah not bad! There's a certain awkwardness in the air as I shamble from one side to the other, which is kinda funny (At those times I wish I was just dropped into battle instead of doing a walk of shame). But still quite fun! And funny!

DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO

OK I guess XD

This is too good. You have coded something insane.

The controls are already insanely easy to follow. It's literally just moving a mouse.

The blood splatters are a level of game juice I didn't think conceivable. Especially with the CRT monitor effect that makes it look like something is wrong with the game. (And it IS. BLOOD EVERYWHERE AAAAA)

The upgrades carry significant weight. I can already see scenarios where theories about the best builds to go for.

Boss entries are MENACING. Maybe need a teeny tutorial about them but still...

Just... wow...

Welll, no offence... when I fell down the hole the screen continued shaking while I was fighting the boss

I also didn't know the E key did anything

I was just left clicking and putting my hand out. Like I was offering them a smoke or smtg XD

And the fact that I can just hop over their heads and be on my merry way without losing much hp reduces the tension a lot

They fired my ass, 0/10 D: (jkjk)

Hey, this game's got some pretty good charm to it! And it's bloody unforgiving too!

I suck at memory so this kicked my butt  in, but it was still pretty enjoyable!

I'm curious, was the "click to paste stamp" a deliberate choice? Because I felt like the time to assemble posters would have been significantly easier and faster if I was allowed to drag and drop; the gnome walking to pick it up and put it down actually made me lose some time and I forgot some parts of the poster because of it XD

Music fits goofy vibe so goooooood too!

Absolutely adorable. If not fren then why fren shaped XD

The concept is neat. Really neat. Expertly done even.

I liked the idea of playing positioning and biding my time. And its simplicty actually reminded me of simpler times... This looks like something you would find on a DS or Gameboy or something. I LOVE it.

With sound design, this would be AMAZING. Hell, with sound and music you can probably put this to Steam as a tiny little game. Sprinkle in some more difficulty like in roguelikes and you have something massively replayable.

... Thank you.

No. I refuse to believe you built this in 2 weeks. This is peak.

Music choice is peak hopeful doom and gloom.

Guy looks as miserable as the binding of Isaac.

Starting sequence had no right going this hard (Maybe a tad long, but still great)

Threats felt like their lives depended on it (Probably, men's gotta eat right) And variety was nice. I vividly remember those dastardly worms coming after me and going "Will you very kindly please get lost".

You added skill upgrades as well which is... OK, you're just showing off  now aren't you.

Polish was mad. Mad, mad, mad. Looks like something that can be on Steam.

One small complaint is that those fleshy bulbs should have some gold bits in them to show that they drop Gold. I was very surprised when i saw them drop it for the first time.

(1 edit)

Thank you for your kind words!

I REALLY would have loved to add a more hectic track to the game. Was even thinking like I would change them based on phases; it ramps up as it goes. Alas... I am only human...

And I'm still looking for a solid DAW. I did the music on a phone app T-T

P.S.  I hope the textwall wasn't  too much...

(Maybe the giveaway that this is hell isn't that the floor is lava, but I can't experience my hops in 4K FULLSCREEN... (or maybe I'm stupid and couldn't find the option.))

Wow! Not bad at all for a first timer! I came in thinking it would be a normal platformer, but the shift option to go fast made the game 10 x more enjoyable for me :D

Although, if I were to suggest a small tweak... I realized that sometimes after I sprint, I can't jump. Probably because of collision detecting that I'm not on the floor and invalidating the option to jump T-T

I could circumvent this by jumping and then dashing but it feels wrong y'know...

*Whispers* Where liddle guys doe

(P.S. Thank you so much for trying my game :D)

Umm...

Ahhh...

Hmmm...

What...?

On a serious note, for 3 hours, this is actually insane. The fact that sound, music and models were able to be strung up like this in a short amount of time proves some level of mastery

(I had some trouble finding the darned refilling station though.)

Wow!
It's a mess!
A lovable mess!
Maybe I'm just not one who enjoys townbuilding or cozy, but the music was stellar and chef's kiss.
The tutorial you provided at the start was NOT ENOUGH!!! I wanna know more about how to establish best friends! About enemies! About how to make them get more money! About events that can happen! About what happens if their happiness is too low / high!!!
P.S. I accidentally drew a Dood as a house. Now a dood lives in a dood XD

Made a game where you must dodge enemies and rescue as many people as possible from an increasingly hectic scenario. Try it out if you've got time!
Now omw to yours XD

Hey, hope it's not too late!
I made a game where you have to avoid enemies and rescue as many little people as possible from a steadily deteriorating situation.
It's called "Outta Space in Outer Space"! Try it out if you can.

Hype music! But I was very confused on many aspects.

The screen continued shaking after I fell down the hole for awhile T - T

Sorry you found it that way D: I'm still dipping my feet into the scene.

(Actually I saw your stream for my game and would like to clarify that you were supposed to try and save as many of them as you can by dragging them into the arrows, and avoid killing any of them.

I would have tried to code a more comprehensive tutorial instead of that textwall but I ran out of time, big sadge.)

Game was immensely hard! And the level variety is great! And the song variety is great!
HOW DID YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE THIS. THIS IS A MYSTERY THAT MUST BE STUDIED.

Some feedback I would like to give is to add buffering for le jumping! So that when we hit the ground we can jump back almost immediately (Unless that was the intention). Checkpoints are also super welcome!

WOW! Super hard!

Enjoyable though!

Thank you for the kind words! I wasn't sure if the idea would land as it was a tad different from other types of games, and experimenting with genres are risky.

Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah, unfortunately, I found in later testing that the mouse breaking was a consequence of an incorrect node I was using. By then, I had no choice but to submit (Trying to fix it before would be impossible as I ran out of time, and I don't think I have the mental fortitude or know how to fix it in the bugfix day. Not yet, at least.)

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks for the kind words! Looking forward to improving my craft.

(Just realised I put three commas instead of ellipsis aaaaa)

You've got space in your schedule... or are ya Outta Space?

Give my game a try if you've got time! https://archmalgam.itch.io/outta-space-in-outer-space

Simple.

Well... Art composition is indeed pretty. My eyes feel soothed just looking at it. Art wise  it nice and I guess  lil guys are the slimes. Music also has a smol guy intensity about it XD

A few bugs found:
- You can spam spacebar and the shield will practically never go away. You have to spam it while it is activated, not when it is recharging.
- The web version has a quit button which just crashes the game XD
- There is little player expression as its moreso just timing spacebar.

Art is good though! And for a beginner feeling their way around, this isn't bad at all! Keep at it! Music too.

Art's nice! UI's nice! I  guess the little guys are the numerous people you're approving.

The gameplay a bit repetitive though, or if it's not repetitive then it might be a tad too slow paced. Might also be a wee  bit hard to see the ID number...

(My dumba** also got confused at first and started searching up the characters names instead of the ID number and deined people because I though invalid == denied entry. "My JoB iS sO eAsY!" ROFL)

You should share link good man, makes it easier to access your game.

Witness a disaster in the making. Both simulated and potentially code-related. Wanna try my game where you have to move a bunch of little guys out of harm's way, and it gets progressively more difficult?

https://archmalgam.itch.io/outta-space-in-outer-space

Oh, and please please PLEASE share your games too! I would like to rate. I may not have time for every one of them (*cough* gotta touch grass after 14 days of pain *cough*), but I will give it my darndest shot!

Rated!

If you have time, give mine a try?

https://archmalgam.itch.io/outta-space-in-outer-space

Interesting puzzle game, had me stumped!
Not really a buncha lil guys though, but good game, good game!

I noticed that the little guys can get stuck behind certain obstacles such as the "change tire"  platform and sometimes the car. Clicking on the little guys may also be a bit difficult... number keys or scroll wheel might work better?

But the aesthetic is great! Music too!

Rated!

I made a  little thing

https://archmalgam.itch.io/outta-space-in-outer-space

Please give it a check!

As Kuboid mentioned, I did find that movement speed was slow. The concept was also really confusing at first and I almost left out of sheer confusion...

Game is unique with a semi-clear end goal, but very simple (I can see the fellas trying to run away from me the moment I get enough size XD)

Here's my game, about moving little guys around a screen to avoid dangers. Give it a try sometime!
