one more question as long as its in the play style of an rpg maker game, with top down and all. Can it be made in 3D?

Hi! I’m interested in joining the jam and wanted to ask — is it okay if my game uses real-time combat instead of traditional turn-based combat, or does it need to stick closely to the classic RPG Maker style?

Yeah that has happened to me a lot to me too.

Oh glad you had fun. I've not come across that bug myself but someone else said something similar about that

I'm unsure as to what you mean, for me whenever I start the game the character is always looking straight ahead towards the rabbit in the distance.

I like how it combines 3D with 2D assets. The game runs well—there’s a bit of jitter, but it’s mostly smooth. However, it was a bit difficult to tell where the bullets were going or where I was aiming. Adding a small dot on the screen could help with aiming.

Very interesting idea of making a space mining game and making upgrade progression. one thing is that when i when to the planet I didn't know what was going on or what I was supposed to do. i figured it out eventually but that needed more or better explaining

Great idea it felt very fun. note on what to improve; It would be nice for there to be a win and lose conditions like health loss when hit by squares and wheels. secondly the power ups are interesting but i wish the rockets only increase the vfx radius and not damage radius, it would be great if it could in later stages take out multiple blocks. but great game and it runs smooth.

Nice! Do you have Discord? It would make planning easier. my discord name is dosaking

I'm a 3D artist and game designer looking to team up for this game jam. Whether it's building worlds, designing characters, or figuring out gameplay, I'm keen to jump in and help make something cool. I am unable to speak German

Here's what I can bring:

  • 3+ years of game design experience (level design, systems design, and overall creative vision)
  • 3D art skills to help build environments and assets
  • Some solid storytelling experience (I've been a published author for 5+ years)
  • Game jam and project management experience to keep things organized and on track
  • A pretty big gaming library (1400+ Steam games) for ideas and inspiration
  • Easy to work with and always down to bounce ideas around

Awesome work! You should release on steam after the jam
