You’re absolutely right, home upgrades increase max energy, and work upgrades improve earning potential (like tip chances, and booking chances).
I agree it’s not clear enough right now. I’ll add clearer descriptions/tooltips so the effects are more obvious in-game in the next update.
Really appreciate you taking the time to play and share feedback!

Okay some quick fixes:
I added a "Go To Work" button in the home scene so you don’t have to wait for messages. This keeps the gameplay moving until the messaging system is more stable. If I were sitting at home with not much to do, I’d probably do the same... management might not love it, but it keeps the game flowing for now.
I also updated the Sleep button to restore a random amount of energy. It currently runs for 9 hours on my setup, but this may vary in WebGL. Looking into fixing that further. For now, it should prevent multiple days from passing unexpectedly.
Jam wrap-up
This game started as a small prototype focusing the core brothel shift loop: clients, energy, time pressure, and that slightly chaotic backroom vibe. During the jam I’ve released a Home Update (v0.2) that lets you go home between shifts, rest, upgrade your space, manage ads, and build progression over multiple days.
I’m still actively developing this and would love to know:
what would you want to do between shifts next? or do you want more to do during the shift?
Thanks so much for playing and being here. Means a lot to me.
Love,
Arabella x
