please...i really dont want to constantly tap the arrow keys to move. I like that there's a collection of different puzzles, but I couldnt get past the 3rd set of puzzles with the movement mechanic.

Not only is this reminiscent of jump king, but it takes me way back to an old flash game series called "Draw Play," where you control a little guy getting to the goal by literally drawing out the level as you play (hard mode gives you limited ink). I could see more levels being done from this if you decide to go further with it. I do wish I could at least walk left and right though. I liked that i figured out I could use the icicles to stop my jump mid air and fall on another ornament.
The concept is great. I like the idea of sneaking around to objectives and staying warm by a fire is great. However the fact I can't even kill the enemies, walk extremely slow, even in areas I've already snow, takes me out of the fun. If the bricks pushed the enemies further or stunned them longer it would be good, or at least some kind of dash mechanic or power up to plow through the snow. If you speed up the player movement, and improved the combat, I would play through the whole game.
Hitbox is difficult to understand. And I dont like refreshing my browser to play after dying.
Graphics are nice and simple, and music is fun however that sleigh bell gets old fast. Traffic dodging games are fun, and it's funny to throw bricks at people. I also like the subtle bounce animation you had on Tenma's moped, nice touch.
The riposte takes a bit getting used to, but is super satisfying, especially with the zoom in, it feels like an Assassin's Creed take down.
Also you're right about bugs. The enemies pushed me upward and ascended me to godhood. im untouchable, but so are they. Now they just look like simps. But I had fun! Continue building this!
Listening to Freebird actually helped me win!
Fun game, I never played the original Oregon Trail, but I did like this Vtuber version. Just gotta stop and stream when you can. I just wish there were music or some sfx, and I have to pause every time i just want to look at the gps and route etc, there's no back button.
The graphics and mechanics are noice, and the ending is so sweet. Gotta load up on those snacks!
Proof that graphics dont make a game. But even then, the MS paint like art conveys a lot that i understand immediately what to do. I love tower defense games and those like it, and this really takes the cake. I could imagine the talents having a nice chill and chat with this one. Good choice of music too, it isn't blood pumping, but it fits. The shop is always a nice treat in these games. I'm glad you were able to include so many mechanics in so little time!
This was fun to voice act in. I'm glad a lot of my lines were used especially "Geddan!" when the Man in Black is killed.
It does lag as expected, but if I let it run, keep playing, and do all the animations, then it runs smoother. Lots of lag when enemies are filling the screen, and I wish there were a crosshair, it's sometimes difficult to aim.
Even though I was part of the game's process and seeing all the updates, I had no idea it was going to be this big of a result! It was smart to use Pippa's voice, it makes it more engaging. I like the gingerbread bunnies. For a game jam, I still can't believe this was the end result.
