The effect that it has for me is that the tree seems to move all over the place haphazardly, which is confusing. Also, I like to focus on my next move, so after I buy an upgrade, I look to see which upgrade(s) I want next, and position the tree in such a way that I can reach as many upgrades as possible, without having to move the tree too often. And as the game can't reasonably anticipate my next move, it makes way more sense to let me move the tree myself.

What I've also found is that the coloring of the skill tree is too bland. It's very hard to see the difference between a fully bought upgrade, an unavailable upgrade, and an available upgrade. The last one can be spotted a bit easier because of the animated + sign, but I can't make out the diffence from the colors. I'm not color blind, but my eyes aren't great either. To me the difference in colors is just not good enough. In earlier versions the skill tree looked much better. Not sure why you changed it.
Thanks for reworking the Dutch translation. It's a lot better now. (I still play in English, though, lol.)
I found some minor bugs in the current Steam demo version.
1. If I go to the skill tree and zoom all the way out, but don't buy a skill, and go back to the plains, then when visiting the skill tree again it'll be zoomed in again. If I do buy a skill, go back to the plains, and then go to the skill tree again, it'll still be zoomed out (which is how it should be).
The void skill tree has the same behavior. Should also remain zoomed out, regardless of whether I buy something or not.
2. The green plus sign on the axe shop remains visible, even when there is no axe to buy.
3. When hitting the void skill tree button a second time, the game doesn't return the focus to the plains, like it does with the other buttons.
The Dutch translation makes no sense whatsoever. I don't know where you got it from, but it has very little to do with Dutch. The game is set to Dutch automatically, and if I change it to English, close the game, and come back to it, the setting is changed back to Dutch. Please fix.
I like the game a lot, have wishlisted on Steam. I hope you fix the language issue before final release.
