ay man don't look at me like that, I was chill I didn't say SHIT

This game is great. Fantastic. One of the goats, even. But I have some problems with it. I'm not here today, however, to talk about how annoying actually getting the correct path in the church quest is, or why the target box in the cooking minigame is in the corner instead of in the center of the screen, drawing my eyes away from the adorable chibi cheering me on. No, today I'm talking about the fact that there is exactly zero cuddling. The couch is RIGHT THERE dawg.
Let me spoon the robot. Possibly while kissing/holding hands.
Given that I've already gotta 'earn' like $3000 or some shit to get all the outfits and extra renders, I'm pretty happy hearing that you're keeping grind to a minimum for future stuff. I personally think that, with the bar license upgrades and occasional high-value fish, it's riiiiight at the tipping point of being annoyingly grindy. Not quite there, but it could be, and locking unique scenes behind that would push it over. In my opinion. But I dunno. You're the dev, I'm just some douche. Great game, very excited for this update.
I've loved this game for a while, but I've been having an incredibly frustrating problem with it since the update. Certain saves will freeze and then crash the game upon attempting to load them. It seems like this always happens in the main options part of the apartment, but I can't be sure. It's extremely frustrating to lose a bunch of progress (I had like 1.1 hundred thousand money, all the books, etc. and probably lost most of that). Great game besides that, loving the new repeatable animations. Also can't wait for an update to Yui's story!
Always weird to me seeing people saying this game was dead. Not updated recently, ofc, but dead? C'mon. The prologue? Eh maybe. But the quality difference in the winter update was enough to convince me. This is clearly a passion project, and I'm excited to play chapter one (whenever it may release).
I admit that I was a touch skeptical about this game (despite, for the first time ever, the fact that I was actually recommended to play it). However, I am very happy to have been completely wrong in my initial skepticism. This game's handling of some extremely overdone VN tropes (namely harems and human x monster girls), is truly unique, and I wholly recommend it for that alone.
That said, I do have some fairly minor criticisms. Firstly, the writing (especially early on) is quite... wonky. One of the things you might notice is a weirdness about contractions. There are often times when things which should or could be contracted to make a sentence flow better, are not. Outside of a character for whom this is an established character trait, it can occasionally render the dialogue in important scenes much less effective than otherwise. That's not to say that contractions aren't used, they're just used inconsistently. I'm not sure if I just got used to it, or if it really did get better later on, but regardless, it makes the tone of some of the writing seem much more robotic than is (probably, I assume? I supposed I don't know exactly what Vertigo is going for) intended.
Also, the ending (of the demo): I get it. You want to release as much content as possible, with as little time between releases as possible. People are impatient as fuck, yeah. But the abrupt-ass cliffhanger is maaaaybe not the way to go about it. Like I could understand if it came at the end of a scene, but the one for update 36 just... happens. In the middle of a conversation. There's plenty of content before the ending, so, you have a lot to tide you over until the 22nd, but it's still annoying and feels extremely awkward (not to mention maybe a bit unplanned).
But please keep in mind: Those are fairly minor issues. As far as I'm concerned, there's way, way more good to write about than bad. I just don't want to spoil anything (also it's hard to be specific). All I will say is that I really like the scene/part where the character Miko is introduced (it's very early on). Can't quite say why exactly, I guess it's just very sweet and I'm a sucker for that. Uhh anyway play the game it's great.
Okay, so, wow, lot of thoughts about this game.
Lemme just say this first: I really like it. The writing is super good and engaging, although I will say (as a young adult here) that the swearing is comically over the top. Like, I'm not gonna say it's Vivziepop levels, but it might be approaching that.
Secondly: I fucking love that CJ's ringtone (in like one scene) is a Bloody Stream midi, please use that more in the future, when it first played I was genuinely just thinking about how he felt a little bit like Joseph and was utterly shocked and amazed.
Great game 9/10 not enough thundercock
Alright, so, to phrase a question I believe another commenter had in a hopefully more coherent way, what's up with Wicked Game? I got to the point of "Get a bed sheet", the tracker is pointing me towards the admin hall, there's a magic box in there that you can look at, and nothing else, at least that I can find. Is is bugged, is it unfinished in this version, or am I the idiot? Regardless, I'm enjoying the rest of the game.
Is Chloe freeable from shatter? The outbreaks and such make it seem like maybe it's an option, but there's no apparent method to do it. I know she's decidedly hostile towards the protagonist and, like, almost literally every other main character, but hey, keeping her against her will in the purpose-built dungeon seems better (at least to me) than keeping her as a very unwilling sex slave. Or I haven't progressed the storyline far enough. I've been focusing on developing relationships, so that's a very real possibility.
