Finally a game that actual subvert expectations without being a ragebait platformer type of game! Love the art style and writing as well OuO. The ability to fast forward text was nice addition but I would have liked if the game would have advanced as well. But other then that a hidden gem entry in my books!

Ps. Mahtava nimi myös! Yleensä tuntuu että sen keksiminen on vaikeampaa kuin itse idean kehittäminen ;_;

Absolute hidden gem when it comes to visuals and sound design! The atmosphere was really scary / unnerving to me. I had hard time finding my way around at the start and died to the monster a lot then I was able find the right way eventually with some brute force. Personally I would like if there was bit more guiding where to go if you want to player to start from the begin every time. But other then that incredible work!

I liked the gameplay a lot! Also the voice acting was nice touch. The nights felt bit long after the VA stopped talking in my opinion. But it also made it feel like overnight shift with no one (almost no one) in the building.

So long and thanks for all the fish :D

Loved the world and the most enjoyable part for me was just run around the level.

I’m bit iffy on the limited healing. In the end I just ended up avoiding combat and rushing to the end when I knew what the route was. Having to reset / die because I wanted explore / talk to everyone was bit annoying but it was worth it at the end to me at least.

Would love to see where this goes in the future!

The art was really good! I would have personally liked if the player / butterfly would have always been dead middle of the screen. That could enable more difficult platforming since controlling / eyeballing where the player is going would be easier. But great overall and I would have continued if the level was longer!

Really nice puzzle! Reminded me of Pico 8 games. Would have liked if there was more audio / music during the puzzles as well. But overall solid puzzle game!

The gameplay made this so tense and with the sound design really scary! Also loved the aspect ratio for the screen and the shader that made the dots for the screen!

For me the game was really difficult. I got almost always overwhelmed if I had to pull a fire alarm and the use lights + TV. My best was 2 fire alarms and around 2 minutes before I ran out off batteries. I gave up for now but will add this to my backlog so I can try to finish a run once rating is over. Looking forward to that!

This is good starting point to continue! Out of existing things in the game the music was highlight for me.

I would enable the full screen mode in the Edit Game on itch.io when do the developed version. The graphics were clear enough to see what I was doing but the “screen was kind of small on 1080p resolution. Keep it up!

Really creative mechanics and platforming!

The only thing I would change is add a volume sliders or make the SFX for jumping / dash bit quieter. They were pretty loud compared to the background music.

But the overall great game!

The audio and sound design is really good!

I had hard time figuring out if someone was a witch or not. I don’t think I caught any withes and the last person used magic on me once. I also think giving player some feedback about their correct or incorrect choices would clarify the gameplay tell what is going on.

For me the web version worked fine.

The best trust no one platformer. The controls and jump felt great. Loved the visuals but the music was highlight for me. Also the last level was absolute cinema.

Hands down the puzzle game of this jam! The sound and art style were incredable. The world moving along with the cursor brought to so much character and visual flare. I had to look up answers for the dragon and well puzzle but other then that I was able to trial and error the other. Full marks, no notes. Really polished and refreshing play!

First I did not get it at all but then I got to level 5 on my last playthrough! On the later rounds it’s still 50/50 for me tho. By default the sounds were really loud but the volume slider was good addition it fixed that for me and did not hinder my experience.

The colours palette was really well done along with ambient sound design! The jump felt bit “floaty” it also allowed some interesting momentum based platforming once I got bit used to it. But getting used to it took a while. I would make it the air movement tab bit slower if I had to change something. But I liked the game the Shrooms along with their foolery.

The characters and theme was fun! I would love this to have some music or sound effects!

Incredible amount of content with only 1 dev! This is closer to a game demo then Jam project. For me UI and text system was highlight and one of the cleanest and nicest looking one in Jam!

This is one of those games that makes me question did we really have the same amount of time for our games :D. Straight up inspirational.

Really enjoyed the different character voices and sound design overall.

If I would could something I would do the following:

  1. Make the world smaller. Half the size would fine and still interesting. As a detective game I enjoy talking to people more than platforming in the environment. Also there would less mandatory backtracking.

  2. Auto close have the ability to close dialogue box with a keyboard key. Also adding a background to the dialogue box could make reading the text bit nicer as well no matter where the player is.

But besides those loved game and keep it up :D

Hands down the best tutorial on how to play what mechanics the game has that I have tried this jam!

The card description text sometime did blend into the black background but I learned what the cards did by trying so no major problem there.

As many before have said the art is wonderful and sound design is also very cozy. Lovely entry and looking forward if you continue this further!

The idea and main battle mechanic was interesting. I would have liked if there was more music but the sound effects were nice. Also would be nice to add some kind of indicator that X characters action has been set / queued up. For example though I was not sure always if used a heal on another character until it happened or did not when I pressed Go. But other then that nice work!

For me the menus were a highlight. The hand drawn look was awesome. When walking to the left the edge of the characters hats goes in and out of frame. I think it might skip a pixel or two. So adding padding to the animated spire 2d or checking the frames in animation player could fix that. It’s not immersion or experience ruining thing but just wanted mention since I noticed. But other than that I enjoyed my time. Great job!

The fact you were able get basically fully voice acted game in jam is amazing! It was really refreshing to play since I had to read less and I could get immersed in the story and characters. The art was amazing as well and I love the black and white hand drawn aesthetic.

The pixel art is great! Also UI was really clean intuitive. I would have liked for the different vendors to better place to sell X item. I was trying for a bit but it seemed it did not matter where you sold things. But very nice game and I don’t have anything else to suggest at the moment.

The main characters animations were so smooth! Also liked that there were a lots of save points of them. I loved the music but I don’t know if it was intentional that it cut off pretty early. I would have loved if it looped the whole game. If you were going for no background music as vision I would still probably added some wind or nature ambience. But I might bit biased since I did that with our winter themed entry.

But great work and this was one the better platformers I have encountered so far :D

Nice premise and the controls were intuitive to me at least. The graphics cute and well done along with the music. I was wondering how is the theme related to this game until I got the ending. Great work o7

Love the art and music!

It was not that clear which cheese was the bad one. Since they stayed in the same spots it was kinda fun to optimize the route as you went and tried again. The slowing after eating the cheese made play different which was interesting. Shortest route to cheese and doors was not the best but going to the farthest cheese when you zooming fast at start. Great design that made big impact on gameplay.

Great job and I would say some cheesy now but I’m stuffed.

Really loved the art and character design. I hope you continue this after the voting ends!

Major Castle Crashers vibes and I love it!

The funniest and most consistent writing through out the whole game, UI and everything. Just like the music I had an absolute blast, my lord.

I love the hand drawn organic art style and colours!

The jumping felt fine in my opinion but the lack of check points was bit brutal. I was not able to figure out what I was suppose to do with the symbol change and moving platform. After 15 minutes of brute force I almost gave up until I just got it randomly. If there was a check point around the symbol change I would not mind the puzzle but the Dark Souls esk run back was starting to get tiring.

But besides that great work on the art and sound, keep it up!

This has incredible amount of detail and polish! The menu with the tapes and all the stuff you can click in the background just for fun. The audio design was top notch and made feel like I was in the radio shack.

I had bit trouble figuring out when the weather was cloudy and what the which level of clouds meant but I got it on my 2nd play through! I can’t think anything obvious to improve on so excellent overall work !

I saw a video of during the jam and I finally found it!

I really liked the monochromatic world! The music was great and I liked the conpect of pulling levers, turning valves and buttons to control the train.

I also hope continue this project! I would add a window to see what is in front the train of just to enjoy the views when everything is going well.

Theme was incorporated to the gameplay and story so well! The pixel art was really good as well.

UI / buttons could use polish but it did not did affect my overall experience. If you have the time and plan use Godot in the future you could look into Godots theme templates. I learned to use them during this jam now I have plug and play UI element template ready to go for future projects.

My artist tried and recommend this game to me and I can see why!

I don’t use any social media but the experience is what I would expect. Just random post about everything with questionable validity. But this actually looks awesome and feels fun!

I would love see this with sounds and audio if you have time continue after the voting is over!

I love the main character and the minimalist art style! Great work!

I could swear some of the spikes have bigger hitbox and are not just copy pasted I they would seem based on their sprites. But that might be me having skills issues.

I liked a lot that almost all the traps and concepts were only used 1 or 2 times! A single trap would have gotten annoying in 2 levels.

Really liked the point and click type gameplay! The name and the Itch made want to try to this out off all the detective / noir games. The mystery was hard for me and took several retries.

I would have liked and “go to main menu” or “restart” button at the end credits so I would not have to reload the page all the time. As web build it did not take much time but it this was a desktop build opening the .exe would have been annoying.

The level length was planned done really well since you were kind of expected to fail multiple times. Even though did it did not get annoying for me and everything still felt like a funny unexpected twist. Did this game have audio? If it, did I didn’t hear anything and I downloaded the snow fox.exe / larger file. But other then that great work!

Really nice gameplay loop! I did not do all 100 days but I fought all the different enemies. Flying during the combat felt also nice. The enemies felt fair and balanced also! Very much enjoyed my time

This really comfy and realistic. As a semi professional house plant killer figuring out where to put a new plant was incredibly realistic. In the end I got my one flower but I’ll probably come back once the jam is over try to get more. Excellent work!

The black and white aesthetic drew me in and look amazing in game as well! Well done! I was very confused what I was suppose do after talking with everyone but I figured it out after some trial and error. The dialogue was bit too cryptic for my brain but it might be a skill issue on my part. For me the browser version worked fine

Really liked the colour palette of this game! I was so locked in during the platforming so I missed majority of the story but still had a great time. The following shadow clones were my arch enemies in Super Mario Galaxy so it was nice to something similar here and put my training in use. Only change I would do is to maybe add a textbox that does not move on top of the player. The text shook / jittered a lot when moving fast but I was able to read it still.

This was delightful! I really enjoyed the dialogue and especially the text scrolling and the sound that was used. I didn’t end up using Conscience that much which made still fail many times and try again. So lesson learned I can’t trust myself I guess if I was in the same situation as the MC. I don’t know if I got to the very end but I got to the same point multiple times. But I had fun replaying this couple of times :D
