Hello, I'm a programmer and composer and I have this game idea to develop. It's a 2D pixel art "RPG" set in a fictional country ruled by a mad tyrant and on the verge of rebellion. The players can choose two game modes: the tyrant mode: where they play as the tyrant and try to manage the country and expand control and influence and avoid rebellion. The second mode is the rebel mode where u take control of rebel forces and try to rebel successfully.

The idea is to implement state management mechanics for the tyrant (skill trees, meters, etc) and network building and stealth mechanics for the rebels.

Hi, I'm Akram Stanley, an experienced game composer with a variety of styles: chiptune, jazz, rock, metal, hybrid genres. My main strength is the ability to mix and match genres from all spectrums of music.

I am looking for 2d games such as RPGs, Metroidvanias or even platformers to compose music for. Also to meet nice people and network with them.

If you wanna hear what I can do here is some sort of showcase or portfolio:

Hi, hope you're all doing well! I am reaching out to you all with enthusiasm, as I embark on a creative endeavor that brings together my interests for storytelling, gaming, and music. Being a writer, an intermediately skilled game developer, and experienced music composer, I have been working on an intriguing visual novel that I believe is capable of connecting with people. The story is already mapped out, and I am sure of my capabilities to do the coding and music composition aspect of the project, but there is one key element where I feel lacking: art.

I have tried it myself at doing art, but honestly, my abilities are not good! I would say that I couldn't draw to save my life, which is why I am turning to this group in the hopes of finding talented 2D artists or illustrators who would be interested in working with me on this project. Your creativity and vision as an artist would be an enormous help when we work together to craft this story.

I am aware that many artists should be compensated for their work, and as much as I am unable to currently offer financial compensation upfront, I want to be transparent about my intentions. The project shall initially operate on a share basis of revenues, whereby the team shall share any profits that are obtained from the visual novel. I truly believe in the possibility of this project, and if everything works out—perhaps with a successful Kickstarter campaign—I would be more than willing to compensate the artists for their work and give them the credit and payment they deserve.

My next step is to make a demo of the game, which will be a glimpse version of the entire story. This demo is critical, as it will be a vital resource for demonstrating the idea of the game to potential supporters and backers, enabling us to raise the funds necessary to bring the full version into being.

If you'd like to work on this project, or if you know someone who would be interested in being a part of it, I invite you to contact me. I would love to throw around ideas, share more of the story, and discuss how we can work together to create something unique. Thank you for taking the time to consider this offer, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Syto's Hell is an engaging 2D adventure RPG that takes place in a mysterious version of purgatory. The game is shaped by the choices players make, which can either shape a compelling story or lead it astray. It features a nostalgic pixel art style that calls back to classic retro games, but it packs a unique twist with its turn-based bullet hell combat system. This means players face intense, fast-paced fights where they must dodge a barrage of bullets while planning their next move. The storytelling is crafted to keep players hooked with intriguing characters and unexpected plot turns, all set to an original soundtrack that amplifies the game's mood and atmosphere. The music, composed specifically for this game, helps bring the dark yet captivating world of purgatory to life, creating an immersive experience for those who dive into the story.

My name is Akram, and I am both a game composer and someone who dreams of writing fantasy stories. I’ve spent years trying out different programming engines, experimenting with creating games on my own. After some trial and error, I found my home in Godot, a free and open-source game engine that fits my needs perfectly. Since then, I have developed several demo projects to test ideas and learn more about game development. Out of all those early experiments, I kept returning to one idea that stood out—Syto's Hell. It is, in my view, the project with the most potential, blending all my passions—music, storytelling, and game design—into one.

To bring this dream to life, I’ve already built the core coding foundation for the game. However, I quickly recognized a glaring truth: I can’t do this alone. A project like Syto’s Hell calls for more than just one person. I need passionate programmers who want to join me on this journey, someone who can help flesh out the game further—either by building on my existing code or starting fresh if they prefer. The goal is to find someone whose ideas and skills can push the project forward faster and better.

My hope is that this setup allows me to focus on my strengths—creating music, writing the story, and shaping the game’s overall design. I’ll be free to pour my energy into crafting immersive music, developing interesting characters, and fine-tuning the game’s narrative flow. Of course, I want to support the programmer in any way I can, whether that’s through brainstorming, providing art assets, or offering feedback along the way. With this approach, I can ensure that the parts I excel at come through clearly, while the technical side gets the attention it needs from someone equally passionate.

Speaking of art, I want to set your mind at ease. Nearly all the visual assets for Syto’s Hell are already handled. About 98% of it is ready to be used. This means that the gameplay, story, and sound are the main areas where I need help, not the art. So, anyone interested doesn’t have to worry about designing characters or backgrounds from scratch. That’s already taken care of, giving us a solid foundation to build from.

All in all, this project is a passion project that I’ve poured my heart into. It’s a story-driven game that combines classic aesthetics with challenging gameplay. But I know it’s a big task for one person alone. That’s why I’m reaching out. I want to find a programmer who believes in this idea as much as I do—someone eager to help shape the future of Syto’s Hell and turn it into an exciting, memorable game that players will love.

Hello, I'm Akram, and I am a composer with a variety of style and understand the important role of music and themes in entertainment mediums. I am looking for game devs who are looking for some cool music for their game jam!

I have sent you out a request on Discord!

Hello, I'm a game developer and music composer, and I really love story-driven games, so I started developing one that is a 2D platformer with many unique mechanics and rich soundtracks. The problem is, I'm a terrible artist and even though I tried making art myself with many different art styles, I failed.

I want to know if there's any 2D artist out there willing to help a fella out. I do not currently have the funds, but I guarantee revenue sharing and even payment if the Kickstarter campaign succeeds and if it does I would love to continue to work with the artist.
