For me, this is the BEST 2D PIXEL GAME in this jam so far (the best 3D is ours XD), and I really like the way you interpret the theme lol.

I love the background story! It makes me imagine this lil game being expanded into a bigger RPG someday.

While playing, I spent some time memorizing which eye against which enemy. I was wondering if the connection between the eyes and the enemies could be stronger, e.g., if the Blood Magic Eye uses Vézias's own magic blood, it does make sense that the Mage who also uses magiccan resist it. In this case, I think the Knight would resist the Knife and Heavy Magic Eyes, etc.

The colors between eyes and enemies (match or not) also affect me. I mean the Mages and Rogues are easier because the eyes that they resist have similar colors, so I can quickly make a decision.

Hope my feedback helps ^^

I like this! It reminds me of some childhood Flash games^^

For the normal level, I think varying the distance between two platforms (e.g., sometimes closer, sometimes farther) would be more interesting. I tried playing without using beacons and still managed to finish at least the green color platforms.

I like the art style (just like many other devs here)! One thing I found a bit frustrating, though, is the rotated mirror with mouse control. It feels a bit unintuitive to me: when I want to shoot the ghost, I have to close the mirror or shoot blindly. While from a dev's perspective, I'm not sure if there's a better design that would still fit your concept, I wanted to share this as feedback :)

don't trust your eyes XD

So glad you like our game! Feels great getting such a good comment from the dev of a game I love ^^

I really enjoy the art (I love pink a lot) and the retro style.

Some feedback and brainstorming about the game:

- The timer is a bit annoying! It pushes me to memorize the road (I didn't catch how the correct path is defined) and especially hard in level 4 ><

- I hope the logic between the two worlds could be better. The banner gives me the impression that the player is in a graveyard. Personally, I’d prefer showing the road in the dark (want to escape from this horrible place), and put some deer/bush across the road. The deer in dark could be a real one (touch = death), or a bush in the colorful world (safe to pass through)...

Anyway, I enjoyed this cute lil game for a while and want to play a future version with music!

I (AKKO) am smart ^^

Thanks for your like! Our team agreed to start with a simple concept and focus more on polishing it. We added a lot of fun little ideas and made sure every element fits and feels smooth ^^

This is the dev's bonus XD

Also the board is 3D, so our thumbnail is another "don't trust your eyes" ;)

Hah thanks for the rec! BTW, the Ames Room I mentioned is just a famous human experiment demonstrating a visual illusion ;)

I only finished the first area with the normal direction and then quit because I don't want to annoy myself too much, like when I was playing I WANNA.

But I had one thought to share when I was in the third room:

It would be more fun if the glowing door could be placed in the left corner :)

At first I thought the mark was just for fun, but when I stepped into the last room, I immediately understood the intention XD. I'd love to solve more room puzzles!
One idea I had from my first look at your game: the Ames Room. Might inspire you.

I really like the bold line art style (sry if it's not the correct name for it). I also like the mini game (especially the bread dog, it's so cute)!

Although I somewhat agree with @borot that it feels a bit unfinished (e.g., no guide or pause in the game, and some small bugs), I still had fun playing it;) Congrats to you on making this cute game within such a limited time frame!

I bribed the Board ME XD

I really enjoyed the art and music (and the effect during pause). Great job!
Some suggestions hope can help:
1. Some answers to common questions feel a bit repetitive.
2. Insert some intentional fake information. For example, if the real information is "dog", show the player this: "I dreamed of petting a cat when I was a child, but now I like dogs". I think this would fit the theme "don't trust your eyes" even better;)

Hi, I'm speaking on behalf of the Board READ ME. This cuteeeee board wants to play with you. Click the play button now to skip the long waiting line!
