I'm using SteamOS on a Steam Deck. Both the Steam Deck's internal controller, and an external bluetooth controller are affected. (I don't have the game on Steam, I got it here from a bundle.)

I've run it from the desktop and in Steam using the Steam Linux Runtime, and both result in the same problem with the controls.

Something strange I noticed is that the improperly mapped inputs seem to align with what happens when I run a game designed for DInput controllers while using an XInput controller, with the exception that the face buttons (ABXY) all work correctly.

I don't have a PlayStation controller, but I think that if I tried to use one, it would work correctly.

I noticed a couple of bugs.

1. Can't access items past 10 in Storage. The menu seems to get stuck on 10, and won't go any further. If you scroll to 12 then back to 11, the text for the item description becomes item 9's.

2. Area List shows keyboard keys, even if controller icons are selected.

Controller support doesn't work properly on the Linux build. The DPad doesn't work, L2 (LT) is set as a movement axis (accidentally pressing it makes it the only accepted way of moving), and somehow Pause ends up being mapped to L3 (Left Stick Click).

I posted these a month ago but received no response.

It's not possible to use Custom Characters on Android due to the files being expected in a place that can't be accessed via File Managers (presumably the internal app data folder), it either needs to be set to an accessible directory, or allow the user to select one.

On recent versions of Android (13+ I assume), apps cannot view files not created by them without being given filesystem access, which prevents the user from being able to import saves under normal circumstances. It can be worked around by exporting the save on Android, and copy/pasting the contents of the save you wish to import into the Android save, but this isn't something that everyone's going to be aware of.

As a Linux user, I'm very happy that you've included support! <3

Behind the pillar in the first room. That's a dirty trick. Thanks for the help!

Do you happen to have one for the other area? I can't find the fourth life piece anywhere.

The Android app is missing filesystem permissions, which is preventing me from being able to import savedata from my PC.

Edit: I was able to workaround it by exporting a save on Android, and copy/pasting the data from my PC save to the Android one.

Where do the Custom Character files go on Android? I've generated Demo-tan, but it appears to have generated at a location that's unreachable, as I don't see the files anywhere on my device.

I think it didn't but it's been a while since I played. I'll check again when I have time, sorry for bothering you.

Edit: I confused this with your other game.

Can you add controller support?

It's up, but there's no patch notes. I've been pretty confused about that.

I just checked and it only lightened up if I set the purchase price to $9.99. I then did another check for info from itch (I have a hard time figuring out words) and it seems to be a commonly requested feature that hasn't yet been implemented. They suggest paying full price and asking for a refund :s

I'll just wait until next month when I can fully afford it.

Is it possible to "upgrade" without using the full amount for a higher offer?

For example, I bought the game for $3.99 and I want the art pack. Would I be able to get it by paying an additional $6, or would I need the whole $9.99?

It doesn't seem to load on Android still, but I'm able to load it on a computer.

I didn't actually expect them to allow this, holy shit.

Edit: Will the art pack be available too?

Thank you.

What are the controls?

This is the re-upload from the dev, re-uploaded by me. O changed the file name since it was a bunch of random characters before, but it's otherwise untouched.

Can't use PayPal lol

Are you planning to continue this? I've checked the Fanbox and it seems like you've given up on using GB Studio.

I have to disagree, it's a lot less polished than it really should be (chalk that up to the week long devtime).

The is significantly less useful than in the 2D games, the inability to use it as a double jump makes platforming obtuse, and the tape stage with all the falling platforms was responsible for about 100 of my deaths, due to needing to turn the camera and move the player at the game time.

It's a good game, but $10 would be a more acceptable price, since it's maybe an hour or two long.

1000¥ is about $7

I haven't played in a while, but I do compulsively check for updates.

Sure, if you don't mind connecting a keyboard to your phone.

It's near impossible to sideload apps onto iPhone without jailbreaking it. Neither Apple nor Google allow NSFW content on their stores, but due to Android's ability to easily sideload apps, it can be installed via the provided apk with no problems.

The dev clearly has no interest in the platform.

It'll be released on Steam when it's finished. Putting games on Steam in Early Access or as a Wishlist title can have a negative impact on its reach.

Generally, you don't get sex scenes when you win in games that focus on defeat scenes.  So unless the game unlocks the gallery on completion, there's not really a reward for making it through.

Edit: What I mean is, if beating the game and unlocking the Gallery doesn't unlock ALL scenes, then you're being forced to lose to the enemies to see the scenes. Which isn't only inconvenient, it's penalizing the player for being good at the game.

He's not wrong. Losing to see sex scenes is a bad mechanic, it's just the industry standard.

Does this behavior really not violate the TOS?

"Bullying, intimidating, harassing, defaming, threatening others" (TOS Section 3, Acceptable Use)

Because it sure looks like their behavior violates all of these.

Most likely yes, as this isn't the complete fight.

I checked this out earlier today, found out it was by the same dev as Setalia the Demon Realm.

The biggest issue with their games is that it's near impossible to distinguish certain platforms from the background.

It's the same person bringing it up. People are reporting them but I guess itch doesn't see it as a problem.

The latest update was 10 days ago, it's literally the last thing before the comments section.

No, it'll be a paid game once development is finished. The "demo" will be getting about half the game I think.

The negative reception was because you requested the entire game to be changed because you don't like the main concept.

It's like going up to Nintendo and saying "I like Super Mario Odyssey, but it'd be better if you removed Cappy."

It's a warning Google puts on apps from non-Google sources. In this case, it's probably bitching about the fact that it's 32-bit, because they're planning on removing support for it in Android 13.

Considering you later threatened to get him banned, I'd say it's justified.
