Hey, one of the devs is here.
Great feedback, appreciate stuff like this a lot.
Regarding the debuffs, they are intentionally that hard and change your play-feeling a lot, since it's a huge risk - however, I do agree that in the end the black card is too hard to beat. We were playing with this mechanic for a while to make it extreme risky but possible and, I guess, it ended up to be not "possible" enough. x)
About the time for collecting coins, it's also a part of the gameplay: you don't only have to kill all the enemies but also manage to collect everything you got (like, keep one following you and get everything from this wave, otherwise, you'll face more harder waves). :D

That feels really polished!
Good quick gameplay, super intuitive to understand, kinda addictive.
Graphics is great for sure!

Is there an end? Or you die eventually anyways? :))

That's good!
Also took me a few tries to understand the mechanic (I didn't get from the description the difference between QTE and QE. so I didn't think it was the actual controls).
But the graphic is great, the game loop is unusual, the QTEs are brutal. No TellTale style, lol. x)

Wow, this is such a nice little game in this jam! I'm glad I saw you guys in oiSIDE before 7 p.m. x)
I haven't seen any interpretation like this so far, super interesting. I enjoyed it a lot. To additional feedback, some middle levels were kinda too obvious (not talking about the new mechanics intro levels), meaning, if you went left and it went wrong, just go right and you solve it all. So the engaging was a bit reducing.
Oh, and I also faced some bug in the main menu, when I increased the volume and SFX on max and then was unable to lower it again (I did it inside the level, tho), I was using Mac M2. I'm also impressed that you were able to come up with so much puzzle levels during the jam.
All in all, great experience, really.

As a lot of people mentioned, art is great! And the chosen lego setting is a win-win here. Noticing that it's a solo game - wow, it always amazes me that people can do some solid games all alone in 48/96 hours. Good!

I didn't expect it to be so engaging, really! Controls are great, love sound effects and this slow-mo... It got me  x)
For a solo made game... Wow, that's an amazing work.

Honestly, I just hope you're gonna participate in a more narrative game jam because the story reaaaally kept me engaged, even tho I thought that i'm about to drop as it's a simple platformer. But I've finished it and loved the progression. Continue!
Also, the art style is great as well!

Oh, geez, this art and voice acting are just amazing! You guys (siblings) have to make a cartoon, really! That would be one of the CalArts nominee, I bet!
Being honest, I thought it was created by Frenches but based on the pronunciation - no way. x)) I did enjoyed this experience, thank you for that!

Heey, thank you a lot for such a detailed comment!

The movement factor is quite crucial because the mechanic scales based on the player's perspective through the glass. In other words, the closer you get, the bigger the object appears. :D

Just wanted to clarify so you have a better idea vision!

According to the 3rd level, you need to shrink the bush first to be able to enlarge the plank, so maybe that was the case? Otherwise, if it's something else, thank you for letting us know! And for the feedback in general. :)

Hahahaha, then my atrophied arm is now on your conscience now! xddd

(1 edit)

Oh, damn it, that was mad! Up until the 7th minute, I was playing by the rules and thought it was a new Tetris, but then I just started spam-clicking around my main tower, and it turned into a kind of clicker game (I lasted about 9 minutes and 20 seconds). Maybe if you forbid double-clicking (at least before the 9th minute), it would make the game less cheating? x))

Good game after all!

Heey, one of the level designers is here. Thanks a lot for a comment!

We were thinking quite hard on the mechanics introduction. Glad it worked out! :)

Nice game! The realization is cool, I really like the idea but levels in the beginning are quite easy, tho. x) However, I enjoyed it more as it went on!

It's sad that lots of people are going to miss this game as it's not for browser. I wish it had a web version. :)

Really nice idea, theme interpretation and art style. Hope you guys are gonna fix this lil bug that doesn't let us see the story end. x))

Cute game, love the animation of the movement and love the main mechanic! There's a platform on the 3rd level that I cannot stand on. I'm not sure if it's because of the biggest size or it's just a collision problem.

Anyway, hard one game. x)

Heeey, it's a great idea, really! However, the movement was difficult even when I got what to do. Someone wrote about the leaf - yes, same struggling here  x) This game reminded me of Octodad, so it can be a super game when polished.
For the 48 hours solo - wonderful.

Heey, I really liked the game even playing with only 2 characters xD, as here are some compatibility issues on Mac M2. The game crashed the first time when I opened the path for the human to reach Humanville (in DuckDuckGo), and then it crashed again when I was carrying the elf towards the town (in Safari).

Aside from that, the art style is fantastic! The concept fits the theme well.

I reaaally enjoyed the game (tho menu was probably the most difficult level). Super cool, easy to get the controls and fun  :D
