I liked the idea of being able to go up the walls and the whole interface was quite original.

I had a bit of a hard time actually starting the game because there was no indication of which key to press (or I was too lazy to check).

I'm not very good in this kind of games so I didn't go very far ;( but I'm sure there is probably some nice content further in the game :)

Probably one of my favorite games :) It showed a good level of completon, did not felt like a rushed half-finished game so that's nice.
The economy of the game sortof made sense (except for bosses giving you 20 gold :'( or a dragon dropping a steak XD). I also had a few issues while trying to click on mimic but frankly, if that's the only issue, there is no issue ;)

That was a bit long imo but I still managed to go from beginning to end while not getting too bored of repetitiveness.

The art was really enjoyable, the audio was maybe a bit missing. But the variety in decors and monsters made up for it. Congrats

One of the only games I actually managed to finish :) It was quite intuitive even though there were a loooot of items and it ended up being the flyer that was the most op weapon (for some reason). Some nice little story, I didn't understand the use of wipping blood until I actually needed healing and saw you can heal by... drinking blood?

Anyways, nice little game, a bit frustrating on the movements but still correct :)

Got a bit confused at what were the actions and what they were useful for. Maybe if there was something "logical" like, the shelf is broken and you have to use tools, etc...

Otherwise I found it pretty funny with the voice audio and the little background story.

I was quite suprised at how good the right-click to look around was working with the movement (usually you can only look or change view and move, here, looking actually made you move in that direction).

Maybe with some more time and refinement, something nice can be done out of it :)

Great art and I like the right click to look around mechanic. I was quite confused about what the cards were for since, except for the "use all your amo" there wasn't much of an "attack". So I ended up just dying all the time to monsters that just had more luck than me and also 5 times my health.
I didn't manage to get too far but I still went around a bit and I think there is good potential :)

NIce little game. I was surprised when it switched to a completely different vibe!

The art and audio were nice, I just got a bit confused at the beginning about what I was doing, how did the boredom progressed (even thugh I kinda had an idea). And then the feeling away from the monster part was fun. I got lost a bit in the labyrinthe but... that's the goal of the labyrinthe.
Nice job

I admit that even with the controls known it's still very confuseing. Nothing is indicated anywhere and nothing is "obvious". Once you know how it works you simply spam the space bar until you've killed everything and take a potion once in a while. Also it might be because of my keyboard layout but I needed to use both the WASD and the arrow keys to move properly, and in addition to that I needed to use the mouse to roll the die (for what?)
However, I'm just being bad critic here, there was still some effort put into the game, the attack animation of the monster was quite funny and something lacking in a lot of other games: being able to go back to menu, and even quit the game easily (often underestimated)

Nice little game with interesting combat mechanics (attack AND block) and nice little characters!

It's a pitty that there is not more content in the game itself (it felt a bit empty), but I think something much better can be made out of this base.

I had a bit of a hard time understanding the fight mechanic, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, I thought it depended on which enemy I had attacked just before? but apparently not because it wasn't consistent or so I think...

Otherwise I still went at it multiple times (without managing to finish, I'm pretty bad at these games) since it was interesting to try to get further on the map

I'm glad to hear you had fun. If you're willing to go for a 4th (or more) run, you could eve, try to find the golden brick to go through walls with tea. And in case you didn't find it yet, you can summon the monsters to your current position in the summon tab next to movements :)
Enjoy ;)

Thank you so much for your review. I'm glad to hear you liked the game and we WILL make it even better after the jam :)
You can maybe do even better runs on this current version by using the monster "summon" function (just above the movement UI there is a tab for summon) or even go through walls using the secret passage (you need an eye for shiny rocks ;) )

By the music being horrible I only meant the fact it's such a short loop, I was fine the first 2-3 minutes but after that I nearly lost my mind >.<
I noticed the hue changes so I knew approximately where I was but then I didn't know which way to go so I kept looping around back to the ghost somehow :/

That was a nice game, not too long but not too quick either. Just enough to get used to the fight mecanic and enjoy it. I felt really surprised the first time I got "dizzy" XD then I just started walking backward/frontward depending on my "diziness" and all was good. The combat balance was a bit too much in our favor but that makes it less headachy than other games where it feels impossible to make progress.

I enjoyed playing this game and dispite its simplicity  I can't think of many things to make it "better" :D

I think the worst part of the game was the music :'''''( I don't know if it was on purpose (probably) to be so horrible but I ad to nearly cut the sound to be able to continue the game. Appart from the fact the images were AI generated and added to the weird look of the game, I really liked the way the interaction is implemented. However, the NSEW compass was just a fixed image (maybe on purpose), which really didn't help with how impossible it was to understand where you are (I found the sledgehammer by pure luck after nearly 5 minutes of running around).
Also, I've probably never pooped that much in my life ! :o

The game itself could be really playable and more enjoyable if there was not so much enemy encounter for so little reward. You have to explore the map while avoiding fights because they tear through you at an unbelievable speed. Other than this balance issue, I think I follow other comment's opinion that it is an interesting mechanic with the maze (boulder, dragons, etc...). I'm sure the map can be worked on a bit more as well if you have more time :)
The music really fitted the "adventure party going on a quest" vibe, so that's nice and the monsters' design was really cool!

It's great to see such details feedback, thank you! There are definitely a lot to improve and some good points I didn't think about yet.
As mentioned by Phil we will work a bit more on it after the jam to polish this little baby gem :)

There is a summon mechanic to help the player place the monsters startegically as well as some hidden shortcuts and the possibility to go through walls to help accelerate the player's movement across the map.
You can also replay the same seed mutliple time to build up a startegy ;)
I'm glad you still enjoyed the game and I'm sure our artist is happy to hear you like their art :D

I checked and I did not read properly that you add to check only the damaged ones :') So it was a problem on my side.
However the spawn is so far from the actual game area it's quite confusing when you arrive and you know nothing else than just looking around and if (unluckily) you only check the normal buildings because you didn't read the description, it feels like the game is empty.
Otherwise, now I have managed to fight enemies and progress a little, the mechanic is quite fun and the enemies interesting. I'm just a bit annoyed by the fact that multiple time you arrive to a floor, you are immediately blocked from movement and simply have to wait for the enemy to die to be able to move again (unless, like me again, you are unlucky and are bombed by multiple enemies right off the bat :'( ).
I think with a little bit more of work on setting up the environment and the robots AI it could be a nice game :)

One thing we implemented to try to cover for that was to allow the player to select the seed to  generate the dungeon. So if you did not have a satisfactory result on the first playthrough you can try again with the same dungeon and try to get a better result ;)
And some hidden mechanics are also there to help you move through walls even with tea in hand if you can find it :)

Thanks for the solid review :)

We obviously and unfortunately had to let go of a lot of the intended content because of time and theme restrictions but I'm glad you liked it 😁

Ill try again tomorrow and maybe take a video if it reproduces

There is no way to get back to the menu or quit the game?
Also, it was very hard to find the way back to the door if you got a bit far.
Otherwise the music was nice and the toads quite funny

I got lost and couldn't get to the last door :'(

I'm sorry, I really tried running it several time to make sure it wasn't on my side but the game is completely empty. All the rooms are empty, no enemies, no "elevators" like in the video examples... I'm confused
