Somewhere at one of the crossroads, you will encounter a room that allows you to fight and absorb the opponent, and return back to Ooze form. Rats, bats & imps are 3 of the optional/neutral enemies that you can hunt in your adventure to earn additional XP as well as other bonuses, if you have unlocked them.
