Sorry for the delay! Things got busy there for a couple weeks. I'm not sure what to suggest since it could be a lot of things. I would read through the other comments on here and see if your situation sounds similar to any of the other folks who were trying for Ogata, check the hint sheet again to make sure you are doing everything that gets romance points listed there, and if you are still stuck, comment back here with more details about what you tried. Ogata's route is very difficult, so don't be too hard on yourself if you have to try a bunch of times; you're definitely not to only one!

You mentioned bullying Yuusaku to pass time AFTER trying to get the Weekend 3 event, but I would say the key time to bully him would be BEFORE the Weekend 2 event (i.e., BEFORE the dentist visit). Bullying Yuusaku gives romance points that you need to progress through the events successfully, so if you have already progressed to the Weekend 3 event, then bullying him afterward won't really help.

Regarding the time, if the clock says it is 5 PM, and then you go to Ogata's apartment for the event, make sure that it is Weekend 3. You cannot complete both events in the same weekend (e.g., if you do the dentist event and then try to do the dinner event during the same day, it won't work). You have to progress to the next weekend in order for him to be in his apartment to meet. One other thing you could try would be to go to your apartment and just spend time until it is 6 or 7 PM and see if anything changes, but it should work to go to his door at 5 PM as long as it is Weekend 3. If you are still running into problems, comment again, and I can do a more thorough code examination, but I prommy lots of folks have gotten through Ogata's route, so it should function as long as you follow the hint sheet. Apologies for the trouble it's causing you... :'(

Just tested it, and both the Mac and PC versions downloaded for me like a charm from itch.io, so I think this might be an issue with your PC specifically. Note that if your internet connection gets disrupted, it can make the download fail. Also, the files are marked as 18+ content, so if you have any settings that disallow NSFW downloads, that could affect the situation, too (although I am not an itch.io expert, so take this with a grain of salt). We do not currently have a version available for tablets/smartphones, so if your "PC" is actually a tablet, that would also be an issue. We unfortunately do not have the bandwidth to create and maintain an app version of this game...

I don't think there is any way to actually "see" the sketches because we didn't put any in the game, but for talking about it with Ogata:

You need to pick up the book at the farmer's market and then take it back to your apartment to look through. Once you have looked through all the pages, you will know that Vasily draws Ogata. Then later in Ogata's route, you can mention it for romance points when talking about Vasily.

Note that you will need to actually meet Vasily in order to be able to talk about him with Ogata, so after looking through the book, make sure to go back to the farmer's market and give it to Vasily or call Vasily to give it back to him at his apartment.

Hope this helps, and sorry to disappoint about the sketches themselves not existing...

Okay, so, I looked back through the code, and here are the specific things you need to do to get the toxic Ogata route:

0) Make sure you have gotten a lot of romance points with him and done pretty much everything outlined in the hint sheet for his first and second events as well as been at least a little mean to Yuusaku (ignoring him a couple times, refusing his pamphlet, etc.).

1) During his event at the dentist's office,  select "Complain about Yuusaku" followed by "Ask more about Yuusaku" -> this activates options during his third event (at his apartment) that allow you to get a toxic sex scene.

2) Choose "Ask about Usami vs. Yuusaku" during his third event and select "Time to bring out the big guns" when prompted (+1 toxicity point).

3) Choose "Ask about the cult" during his third event and select "Seems like this cult is serious" when prompted (+1 toxicity point).

4) You will now have the 2 toxicity points necessary to activate the toxic sex scene. You should not need to do anything else, and your game will naturally send you to the toxic sex scene during his final event.

As I was investigating, I noticed that there is actually a part of the dialog that is effectively impossible to get because of the way the checks were programmed (an error on our parts); I've copied it below from the code, and it should have occured after choosing "Ask how things are going with Yuusaku" during Ogata's final event if you got both toxicity points (but we put >2 instead of >=2):

pl "So, have you made any progress? I told you to bring out the big guns re: your annoying little half-brother. Where are you at with that shit?"

        show og p4 menacing

og "You were so right. It’s not Usami he’s fixated on, it’s me! And ignoring him wasn’t working, so I mulled it over: what would {i}really{/i} get him to leave me the fuck alone forever?"

og "And I realized, he’s always spouting his little virgin therapy talk and shoving pamphlets in my face, so why not weaponize that?"

        show og p4 fakesmile

og "I took one out of that hag Tsurumi’s playbook and mansplain-manipulate-manifested my way through every conversation with Yuusaku."

        show og p4 smirk

og "Every time he tried to talk to me, I’d tell him he was \"triggering me\" and I might relapse into slutting around and it would be all his fault."

og "Or I would talk about how hard it was seeing him around because he reminds me of my parental trauma and makes me wish I were dead. What a fucking joke."

        show og p4 menacing

og "But damn did it work like a charm! Fucker will barely look at me anymore. I think a few more well-placed mansplains, and I’ll break him for good."

        show og p4 genuine

og "Thanks, for the advice, I mean."

Hopefully this helps and you can get all the content you are looking for! :3

Ahhhh every time someone says they enjoyed Ogata's route it really brightens my day and fills me with pride for all the art that went into making it (brainstorming, writing, images, coding, beta-testing, etc.)! So glad you had a nice experience!!! :D :D :D

It sounds like you are having the same issue as L0k1L0c@1 below re: weekend 2, and for the toxic route, there are some super specific things you need to say, so I'll have to look at that when I have a bit more time (my apologies). In lieu of specifics, just think "what would an edgy 4chan teen say" and that will usually be the correct option to get his toxic route.

Hmmmm, have you tried ignoring Yuusaku a few times and then telling him to fuck off before meeting Ogata for the first time? That gives a lot of points (although you no longer get a Halloween party at the end of the game).

His really is the hardest route, so don't give up! I know you will be able to make it through! :D

I love Bun's music!!! And I'm just so overjoyed with how Ogata's route came out, especially considering he was one of my least favorite characters in the manga! Writing his route gave me much more of an appreciation for him and what fans see in him (as well as the amazing NSFW art omggg)! I felt really self-conscious that I wouldn't be able to write something that fans of his would enjoy, so all the support from the team really helped make it what it is!!!

As for the Vasily route, you really do have to do some pretty specific stuff for him to get all the way through his route, so I would follow along with the hint sheet carefully. Most importantly, you absolutely have to practice Russian at least once before you go meet him at the dentist's office; otherwise, you can never progress all the way through his route. If you are still having trouble, please comment again and I can provide more detailed instructions!

I'm so sorry to hear you're running into this! We've had some folks report that issue and tried to resolve it, but we're not quite sure what's causing it in the code. Also, most folks who ran into it were able to resolve the issue by either uninstalling/reinstalling the game or starting a new run until they were able to save. Again, I'm really sorry for the inconvenience and frustration, and thank you for playing despite the issues!

1) You can spot that dear sweet prince if you go drinking with Kadokura (he's the bartender at the bar).

2) The Halloween party should happen unless you tell Yuusaku to fuck off or tell Kadokura that you refuse to plan the party. Even if you just say "yeah, I'll plan the party" and then do nothing else related to it, it will still happen (it just won't be a very good party lmao).

Speaking for myself, I probably won't make additional dating sims for some time as I'd like to refocus on my backburnered personal writing projects on AO3 for now (gotta finish some of these before the dementia of my 40s fully sets in lol). I would absolutely love to see mods for this game or a new game from a different development team, though! I would definitely play them!!! :D

[Spoilers for the game below]-----------------------------------

You can only get to that line if you have spoken with Vasily before interacting with Ogata during Weekend 2. Basically, Vasily will tell you that Ogata cheats at FPS games, and then you can follow up on that in dialog.

If you are having trouble getting to Ogata's third event during Weekend 3, I would recommend bullying Yuusaku. I left the function in as a kind of "dev cheat" to beta-test his route, so you can build up several points from that and bypass the need to do everything perfectly if you miss a couple things.

I so glad to hear you are enjoying the game, and I also love the Kirawus sprites so much!!! Unfortunately, I ran out of time to write a route for Kirawus, but if someone else ever wanted to create a mod for the game that added one in, I would welcome it!

It's very possible. I would follow the hint sheet for Vasily as well and see if there is something you are saying that is upsetting him or closing off his dialog. It can be hard to get both of them (Vasily and Ogata) to be happy with you since you can insult them to the other one during several dialog options, and sometimes those dialog options are the best ways to get their romance score up.

Our coder has looked into this and might have a fix, but it seems to depend more on the specific machine you are using than the game itself. We've had several people report not being able to save, reinstalling, and then having it work, or even just restarting their computer and having it start working without uninstalling at all. I'm very sorry to hear that this issue is happening for yet another person and that we've had trouble pinning it down. Also apologies for the multi-week delay in response; I've had some health problems this summer and haven't been as present as I would like lately... Thank you so much for playing the game, and I hope you've been able to enjoy it some even with the saving issues. 🙏

Ogata's route is quite difficult, and unless you choose just the right options when you bump into him in the hallway, you really need to be mean to Yuusaku a couple of times, either by ignoring him or refusing the pamphlet (or even telling him to fuck off if you don't mind failing the party planning part of t he game). Doing this will tip you over into enough points to continue Ogata's route after the dentist's office into the third weekend. Consult the hint sheet for exact dialogue options to choose if you don't mind being spoiled on them and/or are getting pretty frustrated and just need a couple hints.

Thank you for your patience with my delay in replying and for playing the game!!! <3

The game devs discussed it, and we are all in favor of this! Thank you for offering to help more people play our game!!! Please feel free to make a strategy guide as long as you credit us as having made the game and also share it with us once it's completed, either as a link or a pdf so we can include it as a download along with the game for ease of access!

We're really excited that folks are interested in providing translations of any sort, so you kind of made our day! <3

Wahhhh so sorry for the delay in responding! I was recovering from a medical procedure and wasn't at my computer much, so I only just saw this today! :'(

[Spoilers for the game below]-------------------------------------------------

If you are mean to Edogai repeatedly until you completely fail his route and then try to talk to or interact with Usami in any way, he will teleport you to an alternate timeline in a fit of rage, so I don't know if you want that, but you can definitely give it a go if you'd like!

Regarding Usami's apartment, just decline to break into Kadokura's apartment with him, but then say it's because you like Kadokura and that board games are still good, and you will be able to select a different location to have a date with him. One of the options is his apartment!

I'm so glad to hear that the game brought you so much joy!!! I hope you have a wonderful time playing it, and I am sending you good energy for better times ahead soon!!! <3

Hi there, so sorry for the delay! I read this on my phone while I was out and then completely forgot about it by the time I was back at my computer to type out a proper response...

Unfortunately, these interactions around the necklace are out of sync between the two routes in a weird way. I never figured out a clean writing solution since Vasily's last weekend event is so short, but here is a rundown to get all the content (leads to Ogata's full ending and a lesser ending for Vasily):

[Spoilers for the game below]------------------------------------------------

.

.

.

  1. Do NOT start Vasily's route during Weekend 1
  2. Start Ogata's route normally during Weekend 1
  3. Do at least one cat sort of thing (they pop up during Usami's and Ogata's routes)
  4. Do Ogata's dentist event during Weekend 2 in the morning BEFORE starting Vasily's route, then start Vasily's route afterward
  5. Continue both routes normally afterward
  6. Choose "Ask about the necklace he is wearing" during Vasily's dentist event (available during Weekend 3)
  7. Choose "Ask about Vasily's necklaces" during Ogata's Weekend 3 event with high romance points
  8. Choose "Tell him about the necklaces" during Vasily's park event (available during Weekend 4 before the party)

This will provide you with all of the content related to the necklaces during the game, but it will mean that you won't be on Vasily's final part to get his full ending due to the way the timing works out... It will mean that you get extra friendship points between Ogata and Vasily, though, if that is something you are looking for to see how it changes their interactions during the party

I hope this helps, and I apologize that this timing issue is one of those things I never quite figured out how to resolve before releasing the game. Thank you for your patience and kind words! I am sincerely overjoyed every time someone is working to find all the little plot threads and Easter eggs in the game!!! :D

Ahhh I'm so glad to hear that, and also very glad you liked the Ogata route!!! The Tsukishima writer ended up stepping away from the project because of life stuff and only completed the first two parts of his route... And we only got a Kadokura sprite set super late into development, so for a while I wasn't even sure we would have a full set, but definitely if I ever came back to this game and finished another full route, it would be Kadokura's for sure! Love that lazy old man!!!!!! Thank you so much for the comment!

Oof, sorry to hear that... I hope you still found some joy while playing the parts you thought were better done.

I KNOW!!! Ugh, I really wish I had had time to finish his route, but we only got one sprite set of him, so he's just a two-part friend route... Please imagine that he invites you to go fishing with him on Halloween night and then you smooch by the waterfront!!!!!

Yessss I'm actually super proud of his route, so it's wonderful to hear you enjoyed it and feel invested!!! Thank you so much for the kind words!!! :D :D :D

I had tagged the game as erotic, but it's not super obvious on the game page, and I can see how it would be kind of a surprise given the rest of the route. I have added NSFW to the description as well as the title of the builds, and I really appreciate that feedback! Hopefully this helps other players to be prepared in the future.

Sorry, I forgot to answer the part about Tsukishima and Boutarou: Tsukishima has a two-part friend route in the game, but unfortunately Boutarou is not in it... We didn't get any spriters interested in drawing him or writers interested in him at the time I was organizing the game back in 2021. Maybe if someone makes a third GK dating sim, he can be there!

Yayyyyy I'm so glad! And of course, happy to help! I was worried we had missed some bug that was messing up for some people but not others, so it's wonderful to hear that you just had to be mean to Yuusaku to solve the problem! XD

If you mean the NSFW portion, I can (and will) definitely add a warning. If you mean some of the themes, please let me know which ones you thought need a warning. Either way, well done, and thank you for the kind words!

(1 edit)

Please note that the hint sheet is only the options directly within a character's route that will provide romance points. To get to Ogata's Weekend 3 event, in addition to choosing those options, I would recommend 1) ignoring Yuusaku or rejecting his pamphlet at least 4 times and 2) making sure that you select either "Ask if Ogata wants to help make the party better" or "Ask if Ogata wants to hang out" (if there is no party). He should agree to this if you have enough romance points. If he instead says "..." and then "No. Absolutely not. The fuck?" it means you have failed his Weekend 2 event. Check your to-do list to make sure that it has "Meet Ogata at 5 PM next weekend" on it after the Weekend 2 event and then "Meet Ogata at 5 PM today" during Weekend 3, as that is the indicator that you succeeded.

I hope "scared and vulnerable (positive)" instead of "scared and vulnerable (derogatory)"! D:

Anyone who finishes his route should pat themselves on the back! It's definitely the most difficult of the game!

(1 edit)

I'm so sorry to hear about this issue, and I am wondering if you went back to the dentist twice (once to see Ogata and then again to see Vasily and start Ogata's route again). If you saw Ogata twice at the dentist in build 2.0, it would end his route at Weekend 2, unfortunately, and you wouldn't be able to get to his Weekend 3 event.

That's the only thing I can think! Since it sounds like you already beat the game, I would download build 2.1 before starting another playthrough. That should resolve the issue. If it doesn't, definitely let us know!

Unfortunately, Koito's content does not include going on any dates, and the way the game is written, he and Tsukishima are friends, so you would have to actively not speak to Tsukishima at all in order to not get any of those options. Koito mainly serves as a source of gossip in the game to give the player hints about things they haven't discovered yet.

A hint sheet has been posted and can now be downloaded! It includes hints for the five full romance routes in the game.

Instead of making folks DM me, I have uploaded a hint sheet for the game to the list of downloads. I only had time to complete the general hints and Edogai's dialog options, but I'll upload a new version when I have time to add more.

The new update (2.1) is available with this bug fixed (we hope)! Thank you again for your patience!

There are five full romance routes! The main four are Edogai, Ogata, Usami, and Vasily, and then there is a secret fifth route. I don't want to share spoilers here in the comments, so please DM me on discord and I can give you some hints based on which character you are hoping to romance!

I sincerely apologize; we did catch that issue in beta-testing and thought we addressed it, but looks like we didn't quite get it resolved in the final build! We will release an updated build in a week or so in case there are any other issues that arise (so we can fix them all at the same time).

In the meantime, please start Vasily's route during Weekend 1 in order to be on sequence with Ogata's route and doing the dentist visit during Weekend 2. This should resolve the issue as a stopgap until the new update releases (although you may have to start over/go back a few saves...).

Thank you for your patience and kind words! We very much appreciate folks reporting bugs like this!!! :D
