I really liked the game, easy to understand and simple intuitive controls. I liked the artstyle and the music made the storm scene alot more interesting.

I've seen some others wish for more disasters, and I agree, I would also like a erasing tool since I placed an iron block behind the materials tab.

If you have time to review my game, I would appreciate it!

I downloaded and played this game on my PC, here are a few things I noticed:

Things I liked:
- Fishing minigame / mechanic
- Wave animation / rain effect
- Music and SFX
- Story / flavortext

Things I didn't understand
- Nothing

Things to Improve
- More consistent artstyle / pixel size
- Resize safe zones after success / failed catching fishz

A nice game with simple mechanics and nice SFX and VFX. The music was especially relaxing in the safe zones.
If you have time to review my game, I would appreciate it!

I played the game in my browser, here are a few things I noticed:

Things I liked:
- Cats
- Game-loop / concept
- Sound (sounds kinda like R2-D2)
- Game page is unique and funny

Things I didn't understand:
- Do the cats I distract stay distracted forever or just a short time?
- Is it possible to survive forever or will the cat meter always increase?

Things to improve:
-After I died the cats kept on spawning until the game started lagging

All in all, a really nice and simple game about cats. Also one of the most unique interpretations I've seen of the jam theme so far.
If you have time to review my game, I would appreciate it!

I played the game in my web browser, here are a few things I noticed:

Things I liked:
- The consistent monochrome graphics and (seemingly) consistent pixel size & sprites
- The module system was cool, having to fit modules in your ship
- Music and sound effects were perfect for this kind of game
- gold_dog

Things I didn't understand:
- I didn't see the upgrade pages at first
- gold_dog

Things to improve:
- Readability in menus
- Endless mode (because it was so fun)

This was fun, I liked the art especially the art in the menus. The game was difficult before I realized that there were more than one upgrade page, then It got alot better and more fun. I really think that a modern shmup with the inventory / upgrade tetris is super cool. I hope you expand on this concept in the future and make a game with high scores and an endless mode!

If you have time to review my game, I would appreciate it!

Hey paper_mint_2!

If I make a post-jam patch I'll ofc add a chug beer bottle. I might also add some other objective than just surviving so it's not just driving around at random.

Thank you for your feedback!

Hello, penguinocool!

I understand that the point of the game isn't clear the first round you play, unfortunately I did not have enough time to add a tutorial to the game. Also adding a road to the game is a good idea. I think I'll add it once the Jam is over.

Thank you so much for your feedback!

I played this in my browser, here are a few things I noticed.

Things I liked:
- The "slowness" in the controls made me think more about my positon on the screen.
- The style of the game, especially the menu and game over screen were charming, I laughed when I saw the bird lost one tooth in the game over screen.

Things I didn't understand:
- Before i saw the "Its tornado, so dodge the flying objects!" I thought this was set in a cave

Things to improve:
- Adding sound
- Adding a lower bound to the character.
- See score after death

All in all it was a fun game to play for a bit. My highest score was about 51 before I gave up, I challenge everyone else to beat that score!

I played this in WebGL, here are a few things I noticed:

Things I liked:
- The simplistic artstyle fit this game perfectly.
- The music was good, however I turned the volume down in settings. (my personal preference)
- Building units made sense, no extreme need for resource management or complicated steps to get units.
- The combat was satisfying, seeing all the units pooling in a spot and seeing one side be wiped out was cool.

Things I didn't understand:
- Capturing buildings took some time before I understood completely, this was my fault though as I didn't really read the tutorial.

Things to improve:
- Selection, both clicking individual units and selecting an area was difficult.
- This was not very well aligned with the theme. I understand that there was a timing issue.

All in all, a really fun game that I would like to play more if you ever continue development.
If you have time to review my game, I would appreciate it! :)

I downloaded and played this on my phone, here are a few things I noticed

Things I liked:
- All sprites are awesome, and different enemy types makes the game interesting
- The use of physics in the game is really cool, even though I've not found a particular use for the wrecking ball, it
  makes the game more interesting.
- The game is pretty simple and fun to play.

Things I didn't understand:
- How progression works, after selecting a level and the standard modifier and playing for a while I still have not
recieved any materials to build my city with, also no new modifiers. Maybe I'm not surviving long enough?

Things to improve:
- Sound settings did not work on my device, I could not toggle music and SFX.
- Control sticks were to close to the corners which made it hard to control the character how I wanted.

All in all an enjoyable experience, which I might even play more now that I have it installed on my phone. :)
If you have the time to review my game, I would appreciate it!

Hey, I tried the game for a few minutes, a few things I noticed:

- Different art styles takes away from the immersion (Realistic environment, low poly fog, low resolution fish images, prototyping UI for catching fish)
- Intense bloom from fog on the ocean
- Sometimes walking over tutorial arrows they did not register so I feel like I missed some of the tutorial

- Fishing line blowing in the wind is super cool
- Different times of day and weather is also really cool, I couldn't figure out exactly if this had some effect on the fishng
- I got a good ending without fishing 100 fish, so I'm not really sure what I did right. (However the bit of story I got was interesting)

Thank you for the feedback!

Time to go to bed now...

Im stuck at the (morse code?) puzzle. I may be wrong but according to the morse code translator i used the code should be "104xd" but it's not?

Other than that the game was enjoyable. The art was good and the music that you made was cool too!

This was fantastic! At first i thought it was a bug or something, this was a complete plot twist for me and i loved every level. Also the music was fitting,  the dialogue was really funny, and the art was really good!

The game was fun, the levels were challenging and the objects you become do cheer you on! However  it feels like there should be an "respawn without placing anything button" since having to place an object can jeopardize the progress made

The game was a bit buggy for me, the characters accelerated at the speed of sound and flew straight through obstacles, which made it really challenging. I played through the entire game though and it has potential. Just remember to multiply by Time.deltaTime when handling movement in the update function :)

It was good and kinda relaxing early but quickly bacame stressful when i took in too many cats. The cats sometimes wouldn't lock on to the bed or the nipples.  And the sound when picking up, dropping or interacting with a cat bacame a bit repetetive after a while.

Heres mine!

The game was fun and seemed really polished!

It's great! As everyone have said, the graphics were cool and unique. Audio was really good too, I loved that the music changes depending on what room and situation you are in and seemed to deteriorate over time. Over all a really impressive game and definetely one of my favorite games from any game jam.

Thanks for the feedback! I was originally planning on adding music and/or ambience, but unfortunately didn't have time. Thanks for playing my game though!

Congrats!!! Excited to try your game

Im rooting for you, good luck!

I'm exited to se yours too! I'll probably have to do some late night coding too, but i definetely think it will be worth it in the end. (Also making a whole level editor sounds stressful. i wish u GL!)

I'm feeling good! Everything works as expected and i only managed to procrastinate making the enemy, sfx and main menu (which is a record for least stuff left for the last day). How do uou feel?

F^2

The game was challenging and fun. The jump felt a bit floaty, which made it feel a bit unresponsive. The cutscene at the start of the game was good, and explained everything clearly. The music was also good and fit it's environment, however it did get a bit excessive when i died a lot.

Loved the game, just wished there could be a full auto mode to spare my fingers.

Thanks

Thanks! Glad you liked the visuals.

The game is very original, with uplifting music to such a dark scenario, many different builds and electrical components to choose from and good graphics. I had some problems with the controls and the fact that you can't view them while playing without deleting your progress made me have to guess controls. My experience was also cut short by days not loading on occasion or potato plants "getting stuck in build mode". All in all i really enjoyed the game!

The story of the game was unfortunately not finished due to schoolwork and a restart halfway through the jam, the idea however is that it makes no sense because it is a fever-dream. I appreciate that you took the time to play the game and to leave a comment.
