it's a pretty cool concept, that a poker game sets the parameters of a platformer fighting game. I sadly didn't get the warm fuzzies from it. I wanted to see a stonger connection between the poker hands being played and the resulting fight scene that plays out. For instance, what if the player got immediate feedback about how the poker hand will effect the coming battle. Also it could have been cool if the different poker hands all had unique effects on the coming fight, and even better if the results of the fight had impact on the poker hands. Anyways, there's a lot going for the game and plenty of ways to expand. I'm excited to see where it goes.
fantastic, this game deserves to win the competition imo. When my group was deliberating what we should make to fit the theme of the jam, we naturally came to the idea of playing with time like a TV remote. We came up with the rewind idea, that the game would track the location of game objects every so often and then to play them in reverse order when you hit rewind. I think a lot of people thought in this direction, but I want to point out how well you pulled it off and how fitting the puzzle genre is to this mechanic. It's a really cool concept and i think this has a lot of potential.
All these noobs in this comment section need to get good, lol. Jokes aside, it's true, the game could be really improved with some simple instructions.
yeah... we were in a time crunch towards the end, I'm glad you were able to get past the begining, we added health to the enemies minutes before submitting the game and we didn't get a chance to playtest past the first two waves. There will be an update, so stay tuned! Also, if you have specifics about what you think should be tweaked, I would love to hear it.
The game became unresponsive after I failed to clean the house. Everyone's saying it, you have fantastic art, and it's true that art is amazing. The premise is pretty goofy, that you have ten seconds to clean your house and whether or not you can propose to your gf depends on this. THis has tons of potential, i love the idea of a game that's about developing yourself as a partner in a relationship and you win after several days of increasingly complicated tasks. That sounds like a great game. So, you're on to something here.
lmao, that was beautiful. a literal shitshow and I love it. It doesn't work as a traditional video game, but what it did have to offer was the humor. I'm not sure it could hold my attention for more than the 2 minutes or so it did. It wasn't clear what i was even supposed to do in the game besides mashing spacebar. The intro animation was just weird, but in a good way. I would love to see this strangeness placed on top of a well made game mechanics.
I adored the graphics, they were super cute, also the music kinda slaps.
It's a pretty simple dodge the creeps game with a lot of room for improvement. It's a solid first game project kind of thing. Going forward, I would recommend getting creative with the game mechanics. There are so many possibilities for game mechanics that you can play with.

I'm sorry, I didn't have the patience, or more likely skill, to finish the game. I like the rewind thing, it's really fun to watch the replay happen when you die. I wish you did more with it than it just being a death animation, because it's functionally just that. It would be cool if you could rewind time during play to take back a failed jump or something. Also, plz make the dash thing more obvious. You teach us that the stuff on the tables is just decoration, then expect us to find a note on a table that looks like decoration? Make the note dance or something.
It only crashed once, which is better than the other games I've looked at for this game jam, lol. The crash happens during the time rewind, I was mashing buttons during that and for some reason it teleported me to a weird locaiton, then became unresponsive.
Overall a pretty cool platformer with a cool rewind mechanic.
It's a fun little arena shooter, pretty much a vampire survivor, but with a twist of having health decay. The game crashed after 2-3 level ups every time i tried to play (I'm on a linux using wine to run the exe fyi). So, yeah, you should probably fix that. The core gameplay mechanic follows a proven formula for delivering an engaging and addicting experience. I think the health decay definitely puts an interesting twist on the genre, the game has a lot of potential. It's also surprisingly well balanced. Even though i couldn't get very deep into the game, the first few levels felt right. There's at least a little bit of challenge, yet I wasn't instantly dying and the upgrade choices are fun.
