This was a really fun demo! I love how all of the characters have such varied personalities and interesting dynamics with one another, and I also appreciated the richness of the worldbuilding - I really felt like I was just a small piece of a rich, deep fantasy world, which isn't an easy thing to do! The entire game honestly feels like a warm blanket - it has such a warm, comforting vibe to it as you're introduced to your new guild and just start befriending people. There was clearly a lot of thought put into making the cast rich and diverse, and there's a LOT of customizability - from your pronouns, to your background, to the "traits" you have. I had a lot of fun coming up with a character to roleplay as!
On the technical side, the character designs were so varied and interesting. The backgrounds are really atmospheric, with good lighting, and the bold linework really makes the foreground stand out against the background. The music is really lovely and sets the mood well, and I REALLY liked the writing - the prose and descriptions have a really rich color that makes the world more lively, and the characters all have a unique voice and fun banter.
Whit was probably my favorite - or at least the one that I found most intriguing. At first he's very "icy" and snobbish, and it's hard to get close to him - but you see cracks in the facade when he mentions that he doesn't want to do the menial tasks because he's not suited for them (with his ice magic), and not necessarily because he's opposed to helping out. He's prickly, but it's fun getting under his skin! I'm looking forward to seeing how he melts for the MC!
Radia is my second favorite! I really like how well-developed her worldview is; despite being a "monk/fighter" type, she would prefer to resolve things peacefully. Her strict control over her emotions is very admirable, though it seems like she "restricts" herself by not allowing herself to feel. I'm curious as to how she'll develop later on.
Freli is an adorable ball of sunshine, and I really enjoyed her deep interest in the region and the world around her. Jin has an ethereal, mysterious vibe, and it was interesting seeing the cultural differences between xir and the other members of the group. Serendipidity is a lovable rascal, and I enjoyed beating them at their own game of dice during our first meeting. I also really enjoyed Darius as a leader - he's very fair and reasonable, leading his team with a level head.
Overall I had a great time, and I really enjoyed all of the characters! Best of luck with the updates :)
