I played it through. Well made (especially the fact that you kind fast-track dialogs), but ... can you explain why the murderer it is who it is.

I genuinely tried to reason, but I arrived at different conclusion.

Thanks! Sure, I chose the murderer to be blackmailing someone else there were also some hints with the weapon and costume at the Halloween party. You can get pretty much all the explainations with the good dialogue options. 

I think the whole thing would have made more sense if I had the time to polish a bit more the dialogues and added an introduction scene with the actual murder.

Sadly as it was a gamejam I couldn't add those elements. I'm curious though as to what your reasoning was :)

The was a guy who dealt drugs (Byron?) and his girl (Sarah?)
I thought Sarah was a murderer and she used Byron's high state to portray him as a villain.

Then I could make Lily admit guilt by pushing her, but I thought it might be a reference to the US police sometimes making innocent people admit guilt by pushing them too hard. So the first time I chose Sarah, second time I chose Lily, third time I chose Byron.
