Bitsy breaks when I put data from bitsy room converter in

unfortunately it's the only utility that lets you convert animations. I made some 128x128 animations that had 12 frames. This worked in previous versions  of Bitsy. Now when I add the data it will add a room but the avatar or exits cannot be placed. I'm sad because I made a cool parallax animation of a car driving through a spaceport for the game jam but couldn't get it into Bitsy.

Same problem here. I can't find any utility tool that can convert 128x128 images to tiles rn.  If I use pixsy for example the editor breaks. I'm not sure what exact changed have been made to the game data file system yet. Can anyone help?

I grabbed bitsy savior and it has the old version of bitsy. That worked for me!

Hah, I just booted up savior when I read your reply. Works for me as well. Thanks!

hey y’all thanks for the bug report!

I’ve heard a few folks having this problem recently so I want to see if I can find a fix. if either of you have time to answer any of the following questions that will help me know where to investigate:

  • when using pixsy or room converter are you starting with an empty game or adding to one that already has rooms/tiles/etc?
  • after using room converter you noticed you can’t place exits or the avatar - did you notice anything else that seemed broken or off?
  • does using pixsy cause the same symptoms? or something different?
  • do either you have a copy of a broken version of your game that you could share?

thanks!
