Are we allowed to join the bundle and also perform the itchio discount for the spring sale on our own? Like say we have a game we submitted for the bundle, then that same game on its own has a separate discount that users can buy individually from our own game page, since Itch.io is doing a spring sale.

Yup, you’re free to host your own independent promotions regardless of if you submit or get accepted into this promotion. We don’t place any rules on developers about hosting concurrent promotions.

its surely the worng place to ask but as the topic is maybe fitting, if not im sorry. but i need to know is it true that its not allowed anymore to submit free games to bundles not this bundle generally speaking?

Bundle hosts can add free games to their bundles, I don’t believe we changed anything with regard to that.
