You're welcome. Let me know if you need any help making a game.

idk im too confused dw about this i dont know how to do  any of what u said i just noob thx tho, might need some type of how to do certain things in coppercube making my first game so. :) just dont know what to do how to get a house in the game like cause cant go inside them and want better assets idk and other shet i have rn idk only if u got time explain, this one thing tryna do for now.  so i have a door and want to be able to open multiple doors by pressing e on my keyboard but when doing so it opens multiple at once. i also want to be able to have a certain distance when opening all and want to be able to close the door the exact same things. i had to make it close itself for me after running past a certain area instead. i now set it to using mouse instead but haven't tested it all if it will do the same thing. want i really want is to be able to open a door from a certain distance all of them and be able to close the door as well from certain distance thats basically it. what can i do to really just do this thanks ;)

There are a few ways to do it. The simplest way is to create 2 scenes: 1=" village map",  2="inside house 1"

to go inside a house...
use "on proximity" to the house's door, when "e" pressed, switch to scene: "inside house 1"

to go back outside.....
when "e" pressed, switch scene to "village map"

Now when you're in the village map scene, walk in proximity to the house's door, press "e". The scene should switch to "inside house 1". Now press "e" again and it will return to the village map scene.

ok thx idk if im understand this myself i think ill be fine but u good at blender by chance im trying to make my own houses and things man and like objects with  textures inside blender but when it exports out and go into coppercube no texture bro and im so sick of this also had issues with house like from front angle  u can see outside the walls glitched idk men im sick and tired of this makes me wanna not doing games but i really having fun but idk what to do so hard for me

but what do i set do i set any actions isnide the proximity or leave it and then do e pressed seperate or what for some of these

also wouldnt that mean have to make the exact map twice how is the door opening if it does switch scene im confused how u explained it

I'm not good with blender at all but I'm okay making basic (low-poly) models with blockbench instead and I can make models using coppercube's polygon editor. I should be able to texture them for you too. I can make my own seamless textures and normal maps (or PBR if you want in the future).

I recommend blockbench as it's a lot easier than blender and export to obj is perfect to use in coppercube. I made a few FPS building levels (around 180 levels, using "obhack" tool) - they're also on this page - they're already texture-mapped, so you just need to add your own textures to the folder. They're kinda like small Classic-Doom levels). The file called "!FPS controller single map" shows a textured building interior and the opening/closing door mechanism I made.

Is your game going to be a 1st person shooter (FPS), or a 3rd person adventure, or a top-down shooter/rpg etc. Depending what kind of game you want will determine which door method is best to use.

If you want 1st-person (FPS) doors opening and closing, I have a file ready on this page (called "animated swing doors.ccb". To make door-holes in your house models, you can just use transparency int the texture, rather than cut an actual hole in the model - it's easier to make that way and it will perform better in your game because there are less polygons. You can use this method for windows too.

Anyway, feel free to ask more questions here and please let me know what kind of game it is. I'll make a basic ccb demo file for you with: a model house with textures, an animated character, an opening/closing door and a mechanism to go inside-outside the house - you just need to tell me what kind of game/camera style you want.

i figured out the texture issue i havent done it on everything yet but im happy, im doing 1st person always idk if i ever make 3 rd person, ok ill have a look where the file is exactly idk if have issues with it. idk can't find "animated swing doors.ccb" idk if im blind or if in different sport looked through

It should be there, around half-way down the page...

oh ok, i hope i can do it it confusing using file stuff like this. also is it better do make a full house like a door on it already or have the door part empty with a door made separate so i can put the door on the front of the house or better make house with it on. how will i be able to open the door when its already connected to house just wondering as idk a lot and im sorry for messaging you a lot but also when i put my things into coppercube  it like the opposite side of the item u can just see through it from behind, i just put a door in and textures work but the opposite side from looking inside to out u just see through it u know how to make sure that dont happen, might happen with the house as it did before once. also now i download the swing but idk how u did it i see the behaviours on the parts caslled open and close but i dont wanan run at it to open it idk if u can do it with e like i wanted as well so many things in it ill try to copy and try something idk also confused now how u added open close and other stuff tf even that this so confusing for me :(

Yeah, game making is difficult and confusing. If you go on the ambiers forum, ask for a door script - all my stuff is done without coding so it's unusual for people to understand my logic. I've given up recently because coppercube was too frustrating. It's good but game making is too hard for me. I

f you have an Nvidia GPU, easiest game engine for FPS games is GameGuruMax - if you have an AMD GPU - or a Ryzen APU - GameGuruMax wont work. They do have a demo to try though - everything is just drag-and-drop but it's still a beta version at the moment. For me, I'm looking for a new game-engine which doesn't need coding skills. I'll probably use "yarnpsin" or "platform builder" if I can learn how to use them properly.

As for the house, you will find it easiest to make the door separately. If you made a door and can see through one side, open the texture properties and select "double-sided material" to apply the texture to the outside and inside of the model.

If you want the door to open when you press a key, it's easy to do, just difficult to explain. Basically, on proximity to the door, set variable "near door 1" to "1" then when not on proximity to door, set variable "near door 1" to "0".. Then "when key is pressed", If variable "near door 1"="1", open door

yh i got NVidia  idc if i have to try other engines, i was gonna use unity with playmaker but that isnt cheap and not sure, also where is texture properties is this on blender or coppercube and stuff just confused sorry thx though u a real g fr never mind i found the double sided part. bro i love u so much bro oh my gosh the texture side thing worked love u but still annoyed a tiny bit cause texture stuff isn't loading or working proper sometimes when i put it in the engine, i had a lot of issues not getting  any texture before but found out how to but for some reason idk if it just for certain ones or because i made things without videos and it stuffed up or i just suck idk lol thx tho i love u with this part legendary. also i made a bed but for some reason like the mattress would go through the bed head and stuff idk if it because of me built it but it looked fine in blender thx tho, don't want annoy ya love ya tho ffs, it worked for my house and stuff but for some reason i can just walk through the wall any idea for that

idk if chat here or discord like to just message and stuff idk whatever
