Interesting story. Cool sound design, convenient sound signals. I'm waiting for new chapters. NVDA users can instead of sapi enable text output to the clipboard by pressing "shift+C" and use the Autoclip add-on to automatically read it.

Very interesting story, and the music is amazing, very well done! The subtle sound effects were perfect to enhance the mood, too.
For accessibility, the main thing missing is an option to adjust the speech rate. I'm not sure if that is possible in Ren'Py, but if so it would be appreciated. I am sighted, but I know many blind players are used to very fast TTS, and it can be frustrating to wait for slower TTS to finish. Even if you get a voice actor for the full release, a playback speed option would be good, for example I often listen to audiobooks at 1.25x speed.
I've followed you on itch and I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next in the story. Nice job!
As others have said, great music, and for the most part great sound design as well – and that tiny ocean should be an easy fix! The accessibility is perfect, though with RenPy having self-voicing built in, hopefully that did not take up too much of your time.
The speech is what it is, not much you can do there. That said, for any player confused about how to change or adjust the voice used, press windows+r and type in: %windir%\sysWOW64\speech\SpeechUX\SAPI.cpl
The gameplay is alright so far, exactly what you’d expect out of a visual novel. The examine and move menus remind me of old text adventures, and I look forward to future chapters, which will no doubt add countless items we will need to combine in ways both reasonable and completely wrong. :P However, I found having to re-open the Examine menu every single time annoying, so it would be lovely if the game kept track of where you were. I still think that even with the limitations of visual novels, the lines still could have been longer.
The writing is alright, but not without mistakes. If you decide to continue with the project, I recommend you take the time to proofread it and catch the awkward phrasing and first and second person mixups here and there. Make sure to read the text aloud; you’ll catch a lot more mistakes that way!
I really loved the setup but the music was my favorite part of it! It made the whole game a nice and chill experience (and I missed some of the explanation because of listening to it, I had to "examine" again, haha). I liked how you solved the interactive parts and that you added subtitles. Great work and I can't wait to play the full release!
I think you did the right call, the sound and music was more essential to the game than the graphics. In the first half I read the subtitles but after that I tilted the display of my laptop (to not see it) and just listened. Maybe some simple but nice graphics/animation like in Fish in the Dark would fit here as well? (With an option to show just that, nothing else.) I noticed it made me kind of zone out and listen more. Just a suggestion, I've been thinking about using vague backgrounds in my entry as well (on a game I scratched) but I'll do this instead next time, I think.
The story is catchy, and I really liked your work on the sounds and the music. Even the sound effects are soothing!
The TTS voice had a strong French accent that was unsettling :D It's because it uses the TTS enabled in my French Windows 10, so it won't be an issue for English Windows.
