Thanks a lot for your feedback! I plan to release a new version with some improvements (some bugs / weird UI, weird controls are already fixed but not yet uploaded) but i'm currently overwhelmed with LIFE 😱

thanks!

Thank you a lot for playing the game and giving precious feedback! Could you please tell me on what platform you played the game (of html, on which browser), to help me reproduce those issues?

For the lure scene, the sound is also moving, sometimes really slowly. Maybe that add too much confusion? Also there is a lot of inertia / floating movement due to high acceleration & friction. It adds difficulty but is maybe also confusing . (on the contrary of the gazing mini game where the movement respond immediately).

For the catching when you have to move to the opposite direction, that seems like a bug that someone had also found. I think I fixed it but I'll have to try on different platforms first!

When I read the first paragraph I grumbled and stressed thinking "you need to forget that this is a fishing game, you shouldn't stop at that aspect!!!". And then I read the rest of your comment and was very happy to see that someone had received what I wanted to deliver with this little experiment!

I wasn't happy about working with an artificial narrator. But with the time available, it was a good compromise. I really like the voice I found, though, and the whispered aspect gives the experience a lot of identity. But, we agree: the result would surely be better with an actor.

Thanks for the valuable feedback, I think the gameplay issues can easily be improved. I hope to be able to finish this game (add at least 3 zones, a highscore mode, and above all complete the narrative loop. It just takes time (and that's not always easy to get).

Thanks!

Thanks! Each zone is a little story, but there should be a broader narration in later versions!

I've finished the game! Indeed, you really have to pay attention to the readme, and the same goes for the mini-game with sound (to understand that it's a grid you're navigating through).

It's a demanding game, but very enjoyable once you've trained yourself to distinguish the sounds. I did, however, occasionally deactivate the blind mode to progress in certain rooms.

A really great, rich experience! It would be really nice to have a "tutorial" room first, to familiarize the player with the sounds and the mini-game!

Same here!
I love the concept of a GB blind accessible game, but couldn't hear the audio clues on a browser!

Very cool game! At first I needed to disable the blind option as it helped me to better understand the sound feedback. After that it was pleasant! I think you found a good concept to dig into.

For the difficulty, maybe that simple things like a sound clue to know if the objective is on the right or left could be cool.

Loved this game!

It work well, Glorpo's design/movements/physics are really enjoyable. It's easy to imagine all kinds of levels and puzzles with this character!

I don't know if the game is doable without vision, but I enjoyed it thoroughly!

Loved your game, very polished and pleasant!

The narration sets the mood and gets the action going, and I quickly found my marks as I explored. The doggies' snoring was well implemented and quickly provided a representation of the obstacles.

It works really well!

When I heard the exit, I had to stop myself from rushing ahead so I don't screw things up!

Congrats!!

Thanks A LOT! That encourages me to continue gamedev!

thanks!!

Thank you for those explanations, I will definitely play again :)

That's good to know, I'll try again, & will plug in my controller!

(thanks!!! <3)

For now clearly my favorite game of the jam!
It's a pleasure to hear the voices of actors. The introduction immediately sets the mood and immediately aroused my curiosity.

It's polished and works well. Again, a pleasure!

Love the ambience, sounds, & crazyness. Also love the visuals!

I'm always in for a good dive in "MAZE screensaver Windows 95" nostalgia!

A little feedback:

Blind, if think that you can't know about the timer. Also timers stress me a lot (my issue 😁).
You should use physical inputs to allow compatibility with non QWERTY keyboard.

The story is catchy, and I really liked your work on the sounds and the music. Even the sound effects are soothing!

The TTS voice had a strong French accent that was unsettling :D It's because it uses the TTS enabled in my French Windows 10, so it won't be an issue for English Windows.

Hi! I loved how it sounded more & more like a zoo nightmare as you're progressing! It was immediate to understand & to play, that's a pleasure!

I was just a little bit frustrated by the time limit, I would have loved the possibility to go as fast as I could without the stress of a timer.

Hi! I love your work with the sounds and atmosphere so much!

Your screenshots directly appealed me, I like this art direction.

I couldn't go far because I didn't understood the different sound feedback, could you help me understand them so I could progress in the game ?

(The game crashed when exiting the option menu, so I couldn't enjoy your visual work :( )

Hi! Thank you for your game!

It's cool that there's just a black screen, I really like the work with the sound effects, voices & ambience!

Some feedback if you want:

Unfortunately, I couldn't get pass the tutorial. It is well explained and made, I loved your voices "Hellooooo" "Don't forget to interact with me!", I could reach you. But I wasn't able to achieve the main game tasks, I got lost and couldn't find my way.
There's also a lack of compatibility with non qwerty keyboards (it's easily fixed: you just have to use physical inputs).

Hi! Thanks for your game! I like the setting & the interface is quite clear!

If you want some feedback:

I took me a while to figure out how to associate people to tasks, also I didn't get the consequences of events (storm, comet.). After I understood the gameplay more, I wondered if there were a better approach than simply put the maximum people into each job ?

To improve accessibility, I think that the TTS voice should immediately read what you choose. Because without vision, there's no way to know what menu you currently selected.

Hi! Love the PICO8, love the art and really enjoyed the music!

It took me a while to understand the card system & the different games (there's some games I didn't understand, but on my behalf I'm not a card player), it would greatly help to have access to a small explanation when you launch a card game!

The idea to manage/buy cards is great!

Hi! I'd love to play your game but I couldn't understand what to do: any of "e" & "p" seemed to do anything. The  "o" button worked for a while (I hear a dog from left to right) but after sometimes I couldn't hear it anymore. The voice is also a bit difficult to understand.

l'd be glad to try again with some explanations!

Wow that's super encouraging and motivates me to polish the game a lot once the Jam is ended!

I'm happy to read that players receive what I wanted to share with this game idea!

Thank you so much for playing & this very helpful feedback!

Thank you for the feedback and playing the game ♥️

Thhhaaaaaanks ♥️ Yes I'm going to make a simple state machine for the rod, It should solve that!

thank you so much, your feedback is precious! The first ever watching cove fish clearly has a bug, I was able to reproduce it on android & web, but it works on desktop. I'll check that!

Yes you're right, the sound feedback will have to be improved!

Thanks so much!

"And in one of the glade levels, the instructions said to move right, but the fish was on the left." In fact it's doable to the right, but requires tight timing. You should have clues to go to the left after some attempts. It's linked to the the fact that it's a distinctuna, going his own way. But I think that it's not the greatest idea because as a player you don't know the link between the fish & it's behavior before fishing it.

(Was it understandable that each fish in a zone represent a progressive way of dealing with issues?)

A very elegant concept, I love it!
There's a drop that I couln't find with my eyes closed.

Loved the ambience & sound design !

Thanks a lot! And you probably haven't enjoyed it as intended: an ugly bug made the luring mini game completely broken if using a resolution different than 720p! (It' s fixed)

Hi! Thanks for this game!
It would be nice to have a sound announcing how many enemies are popping & support for non qwerty keyboards!

(The letters are also sometimes very confusing, because the  voice is a little muffled)

Loved the idea, controls are instinctive, I had a good time ! Also I didn't know about this music composer, and I will definitly follow his work.

I had a bug in this area, if you stay on the platforms and go offscreen, the character won't pop up again. I didn't wait the health bar to go down, maybe this would have restarted the scene.
