And now I've beaten both pre-boss groups! Mainly was Friend Defender Defense and Regen-based. Vantus is a strong resource in a item conservation run! Elemental attacks, but gotta keep him alive!

What's Counter Vector Analysis supposed to do? It seems like the user is just hurting themselves, while Brill just keeps punching.

I let Vantus fall again and now it's just Brill vs. ~1100 HP, where the only big damage is 30 HP from Gravity , which is basically healed off by Adrenaline.

And the battle's hired help isn't a concern at all, they're just making Pepperflask Counter useful by killing them for me. The second set is just annoying. With 5 Regen from adrenaline... And it hasn't even been 200 enemy turns yet? 1100 HP went to 497. Won't even lose half my Flasks from this.

EDIT: Equipment List: Gastronomicon, Revolutionary Helm, Mythril Thread Robe, Red Dragonstone, This Thing LV 3, Friend Defender, Master's Gift, Pepperevenge, Lucky Lass (Shoulda ditched this), Catch Up, Battle Brooch, Cryogem (Shoulda dropped too), Startforce (ditto), Restoration, Illusive Rune (Ditto Defense is high enough that Blocking's useless due to Electro), Defense Focus x2, Adrenaline x3, Attack Focus, Extra Edge... (Did the Attack and Defense focuses just cancel each other out? No, not quite.)


Yay for Reflect Fire! ... At somewhere around <100 HP, the boss seems to be permanently burnt? Its 1 turn of Burn isn't going away any more? ... Then I gotta take out the hired help too? Annoying, but okay.

It would be a lot harder if I hadn't dismantled the preparations, so much.

And I forgot what the tip was about Gravity, first I didn't use it because it seemed Vantus was being protected by Brill okay and doing good damage, then I was in a punching rhythm and Check said something about a gravity resistance.

The kids playing Vantus and Merc shouldn't appear before the Formas are saved, should they?

The tip about Gravity was just "bring multiple Gravity potions" because that's how you disrupt one of the analyses; while it's not as powerful against Yg'Xel, it can be used multiple times against him.

Observe Attack Vectors should be giving Yg'Xel Analysis points when he's hit, but I just realized he didn't even get the Analysis state that runs everything! I thought for sure he had it.

I'll go ahead and release a patch with this and the NPCs fixed.

Thanks! ... Should Fionain be at the Fairy Ring in the grove that's south of the Challenge Tower? Because he's not there?

I was looking for a Ring so I could easily travel between Chapter 1/2 Ruphand and the Chapter 3 stuff, and was hoping that was it.

I can't believe it- I forgot that ring was there. That's going to be added in a patch for sure, or at least addressed!

I will need to do another hotfix because I accidentally took Yg'Xel from getting no Analysis points to getting too many Analysis points, but it won't affect anything after him.

Nice! I missed a shiny spot on the Am-bushes' mountain so I'm grabbing that... I also thought there might be a Ring there... But doesn't seem like it.

That enemies get defeated then get an extra tick to attack, is annoying because I can lose right after winning mmm.

Or is it the Ambush Volleys always land when the battle ends?? I should've just remembered the Starpiece Ring, because I wasn't Star Forcing due to wanting to preserve my 37 charge.

Woo! Funny new hat! ... That says Attack +5 and speed boost, but the stat changes checker shows that my Block Speed would go up by 5 too?

I'll give Volley a look sometime later. Volley and similar effects should harmlessly end when the battle stops.

Ah, that was actually unintentional! Must've mouse-wheeled it by accident. It'll be patched out with the next patch, but it's not quite game-breaking, so I'll leave it be until the next patch/hotfix.

Thanks! Well... That post-Astral Plain battle was... A lot shorter than you probably intended, since I started it with 3 HP and stuff, I couldn't take more than 1 attack! The only resource lost was Starforce! ... I think. I'm not sure if I even managed to cast it!

Well, my mind took that gagging comment a bit differently. I thought she would be "imprisoned". Phew, glad I was wrong! ... Vantus to the rescue I hope? If I have to fight this thing, I'll probably need to rebuild my Holy Water stocks.

Nice thought on the Amulet of Air! There's even precedent for this type of attack! Thin Air! Sweet!

If the presumed battle waves are separate battles each, then my Fire Blast Wand would basically eliminate any need for supplies! I possibly could've fought forever?
