Judge feedback

  • This is a fun little platforming game! I liked some of the levels, and they even got a bit tricky later on. The in-built tutorial with the very simple solution around the red zone was smart. I like seeing native tutorials like that. I can see the adherence to the theme. It's not a unique concept, but it is a solid choice, especially for the scope of a game jam. The game runs pretty smoothly for the most part. I noticed that when stacking bridges, they would begin to vibrate uncontrollably. I made myself a little car that I could ride on very slowly, which was pretty funny. I also tried to use that as a feature to force myself through some of the solutions (it didn't work), but in the end, it was a bug, I'm assuming. the main issue with playability I found was getting accidentally trapped under the bridges. I had to refresh the page entirely to restart if that happened to me, which was unfortunate. I did notice that clicking also spawned bridge nodes, and I could make them in the walls too. But that wasn't really game breaking. I think the simple art style was fine - it was clear what to do and which character you controlled. I think the only lacking thing was an 'intermediate' phase where you could see the bridge you were drawing as you drew it. At least some kind of feedback would have been good. I know you had to change the music last minute, but the song you picked actually worked quite well, maybe better than your original choice. Overall, this was a nice little puzzle platformer. I think it was pretty well made for a beginner jam, and I hope that all of you learned a lot from making it.

Jam Judge

Hi, before any of the mentors for the jam can give feedback to your game, you must remove the music you used from the game. Usually externally created music is okay to use with accreditation if the copyright owners/creators allow it, but in this case, this music is not available for free use (even for non-commercial projects), so you can't put it into the game, even with the right credit.

Not removing the music will risk disqualification from the jam because it breaks the rules.

My apologies! Music in the game has been changed to use something copyright-free and description has been changed to credit them.

Great! We didn't want to disqualify an honest mistake. Glad you could fix the issue!

I'm not the brightest person.

The game design is very creative and it feels like there's no wrong way to play. It just creates some interesting result.

This is a simple game idea but it's really fun! I have restarted the levels many times to figure out the way to connect the bridge and take a cat to the door to go to the next level. if you have a plan to develop this game after the jam let me know it! I'm sure it will be really fun.

Also, for the feedback, I think it would be great if I could see the line while I drew it. But overall the game is really great! I enjoyed it gimme more level!!!!!!!

and I loved the BGM sound of this game so much hehe

This game is honestly kind of addicting, I NEED more levels lol. I love puzzle games and this gave me 2010 flash game vibes (In a very good way :)). I could see this project being greatly expanded upon in future updates.
