1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

Hi everyone! I'm Elisa (just call me Ellie :3), I'm an illustrator, concept artist and 2D artist. My dream is to work for some big videogame software houses and I'm studying everyday for it! Here's my portfolio~

2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

I did not participate in the last game jam here on itch.io but I already participate in two physical game jams (one was the Global one). The reason why I like to join the game jams is because I want to become a professionist concept artist so I need a lot of experience 'on the ground'!

3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

My absolute favourite games are RPGs: starting with Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate I became a big fan of The Elder Scrolls Saga, then of course The Witcher, Dark Souls, Dragon Age and similar. I like the Final Fantasy Saga (my favourite one is FFVIII), Assassin's Creed (just 1 and 2), Dishonored, the Silent Hill saga until Origins (expecially 1 and 2 that is my favourite) and some other horror games (indie too like Amnesia), The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, and I like some strategy games too like Age of Empires/Mythology but also something like Limbo, This War of Mine, Undertale. ... Yeah I do play a lot of different kind of games ahahah!

4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

I'm currently working as 2D artist in a indie italian team, we're developing a game called Lost Paradise. I also worked already as 2D artist/concept artist for some small game projects.

5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

Well my first passion is of course drawing and painting! I always loved drawing so much that I ended wanting to make it my work. I also like play games (you don't say? lol), watching tv series, movies and anime, reading (I love fantasy and horror books, and I read comics too), writing sometimes, and travel when I can. I'm addicted to fantasy, medieval and pirate stuff, and mythology too. I expecially love celtic and precolumbian mythology! Recently I'm studying ancient north and scandinavian mythology for a portfolio project.

6. Any advice to new jammers (if you're a veteran)?

I'd just participate to two game jams so I'm not really a veteran, but I have an advice for everyone: have fun! This is a great experience and it allows you to make new friends and to find out a lot of new useful things that will improve your work and your approach to this job. Do everything with passion and joy and push yourself hard but in a positive way. Try to absorb the better things from this experience, it will become a great memory for you!

Ellie your work is soo lovely! I also really enjoy drawing + painting and your work makes me want to get back into it. This is really important advice also--thanks again for sharing!

Hi J! I'm so happy to hear this, I'm glad that my works could inspire you to draw and paint more!

Thank you so much for your message <3
