Over the last few days, I've been working on trying to optimize and improve the lighting system for the beta versions of Baldi's Fun New School Ultimate. In a separate test project, I've already been able to implement flickering light sources that can also change color, and as a result of redoing most of the lighting related code, have been able to achieve a noticeable increase in performance while the lighting system is active. Even in a test level with over 1000 chunks, which is a great sign that the system should end up working better in Beta 1 and later versions.
