Yes that’s what I was thinking the exact same too! 

I have been thinking in my head imagining how cool this would be if BFNS Ultimate had its own desktop environment similar to Windows 98 or XP before getting straight to the game. Like having to do the setup/OOBE process, being able to customise the desktop and also play pre-installed games provided in the fake desktop besides the actual game itself. It would have its own music separated from Ultimate and so many more interactions!

It probably may not happen in Beta 1, but the concept might become a real thing in later updates as a potential feature!

Because V3 is meant to be the last major update of this mod and it’s also due to his lack of motivation to keep working on it. It did mention on the page that grand opening might get few updates since it’s still unfinished.

The deleted post was just someone saying they cannot wait for the game to release. I don’t know why the comment got deleted anyway, so I purged it.

I do agree with you! Without the next progress update, we would have no new teasers for the game besides the map layout and they haven’t had anything new for a while, so it would honestly be nice that they could share some screenshots related to the update like the floor maker to not cause people to think this game is never coming out or whatever they say. 
They could do that if it’s necessary or it’s good enough to show it to everyone!

It’ll be worth it for sure! It’s difficult to promise a release date for new progress updates due to adulthood life that Johnster went through and of course some hardware issues that annoyingly slows down development. 

If I have to predict what progress updates 19 would have, I think it might show new assets, gameplay, floor maker and also new project contributor which you probably knew about! : )

Hopefully when it releases, there could be a chance of getting a release date for both the Dev build version and the public release revealed, but it’s probably not guaranteed to happen depends on how IRL stuff went for them. I still hope that we can get it done in late 2026!
