From all the people who downloaded the game you're the first one to talk about a trojan.

Ren'py is a heuristic engine and it's possible for false positives to happen BUT I keep my files safe too and check often (windows defender, malwarebytes, roguekiller). Your problem comes most likely from your anti virus or an other external source as I did reinstal the game myself on my own computer and got nothing out of it.

From the look of it it looks like you've been scammed by something else. Probably your anti virus or an ad.

But definitely not from my game. I hope you can fix your issue tho.

Also Virus Total is a not even anti-virus software.

Virus Total is a website used to scan files for malicious content... I never said it was an anti-virus software. I haven't downloaded anything else recently, only this game and with the 'false positive' I can only assume this to be the cause of the infection.

It actually isn't, you've got your virus somewhere else. I suggest you get an actual anti virus or simply use windows defender instead of using this specific website, it isn't safe.

Virus Total is literally owned by Google. You have no idea what you're talking about. Love how you delete my comment to warn others and double down that your files aren't malicious when they are. What a joke...

Because, again, there is no virus in the files.

Let me ask you somlething: did you use an anti virus before getting the one you've got from somewhere (that you're apparently paying for now) or have you always been using Virus total believing it was an anti virus when it's only here to scan your computer.

VirusTotal profits off the uploaded binaries by charging a subscription fee. VirusTotal provides no recourse available when legitimate software is marked as malware, only to contact each individual anti-virus company to report the false positive.

i too believe virustotal is the best in detecting malware with, but there should have been some evidence provided maybe?

and this

This game is safe to download, i run deeper-club on 2 PC's and a Steam Deck, all anti-virus used show no virus.

Make sure you download the game through itch.io and NOT through a third party.

Any claim this game is infected is very clearly false information.

Many anti-virus websites are unreliable as they very often show false positives usually because they refuse to decompress Zip/Rar/tz files.

You could Zip up a Picture of a cute kitten and web-scanners would still complain, theyre terrible antivirus scanners and cant be trusted or be honest with users.

No virus already scanned, so it's safe, have a nice day.
