No, we are still starting in a few days but I had a misunderstanding of start date/submission date... thinking they were separate things. 

To clarify:
The jam begins on September 29th at midnight (NZST/UTC +12).   
The deadline for submission is October 27th at midnight (NZST/UTC +12).   
The voting period runs from October 27th at midnight until November 10th at midnight (NZST/UTC +12).

So we start this weekend with the control scheme revealed... and then we have a month to develop playtest, and submit... and two weeks to play each other's games, give feedback, and vote.
