Actually, I've looked, and can confirm that it is a real update to Baldi's Basic Classic. Although the update is only for the Google Play (GP) version of the game. From what it says in the changelog on GP, this update was released to keep the game compatible with newer devices and also to update the copyright date and merch store link.

The reason why I think it’s fake is because it doesn’t show the update button for me
I also didn’t know that it was only for android unless it’ll come out for iOS soon (most likely not)
I think the reason the update wasn't released on iOS might be because the App Store has different requirements/review process compared to Google Play when you submit an update for your app, or maybe it's because Android compatibility is different compared to iOS, meaning the update was only necessary for Android devices. That's just my guess though.
