  • Amazing concept and usage of theme. Awesome job. Some Feedback: I can really see this being expanded on, a ton of protentional. Focus on a single game mode to get that one perfect. Some checkpoints, more player utility. Give the player a little more power and variety in their abilities with each monster.
  • I was playing with the keyboard - would've been easier with a controller (on me, not the game) ... I love the way the theme was incorporated in this one and I think the art was a great playful homage to SMB

Quirky cute game! I really like the concept. What stood out to me was the 2nd level for sure, apart from the difficulty which was a bit much, the gameplay approach surprised me and it's one I'll definitely spend time thinking about. :)

The Ai was really cool. I felt like it was coming to talk shit when it beat the small guys. What techniques did you use?

Thanks Brandon! The idea was to show how overpowered the protagonist is [in most games]. The second level was the first one I made, and then I developed the rest of the concept around the AI playing as the "main character".

I've used a very simple state machine + waypoints scattered through the level. Here's a screenshot from the editor with the waypoints visible:

Actually, It's more straightforward than it seems!

Dope thanks for sharing it's cool when a simple system can create such interesting behavior!
