I really loved the art and music in this. Reminded me of World of Horror in a way. The characters were cool. It was hard to understand where to go and who would be good where, but I did muddle through 50 turns and make it out. No idea how you got such good VN style text in AGS (something I was struggling with previously so I moved away from using it for a game I currently have in development). Great work.

A very interesting variant of a card game. Great art style and audio ques. Offers some replay-ability by changing what moves you make, which is nice for the short scope of the jam. Overall a solid submission!

Very fun! I'm not normally a big fan of card-based video games, but I enjoyed this a lot. Some of the task locations cut off the text that tells you how many turns are left in the task, and it can be a bit hard to select what you want sometimes.

The bigger issue that I encountered, though, is an error message and crash. I could only see the message when alt+tabbing, for some reason. For context (it's unfortunate Itch doesn't have spoiler tags, so I'll be a bit vague), a character died while I was carrying another character.

Bah, shit. Stupid complicated game. Thanks for screenshotting the error message! Think I figured out where I went wrong, but in the interest of jamness I won't be patching it out until after voting closes. P:

(Will def. look into the other issues as well! Text is easy to fix, but the card selection'll take a bit to untangle. Don't code at one am folks that's how you get spaghetti.)

It's impossible not to just echo what Bworg has already said. This is great. Really great. I would pay for a full game of this. Great visual, audio, and mechanics design. Great writing. I wish I had made it :P

In the interest of giving some kind of constructive criticism,  the only thing I can think of, which I am sure you already know is, it would be nice to have a few more UI bells and whistles (e.g., a border showing which character card I have selected).

Had to come on here and rate this one right away because it's brilliant. Artwork is consistent, stylish and has just the right tone. Gameplay is unique and interesting. Music and audio fits perfectly. Everything just comes together so well, I genuinely want to see this expanded on because I would love to play more of it and see where else it could go.
10/10 for what was achieved in such a limited time!
