Thanks for playing Hikiyami! I agree with your comments. In hindsight, that public domain picture poorly modified with paint was not a bad idea hahahah. I like the idea you mentioned of not showing the entity at all.
Funny that you mention that this could be appropiate for an anthology, because the creepy music in this game (which is actually just some public domain piano sequence I found) was used for The Grotesque and Pixelesque, and this one was published a long time before that one.
This was actually made in about 18 hours and the hardest part was working with a 3 color palette, but overall I'm happy with the result. It's just a little derpy game and the story is quite straightforward, but it was really fun trying to come up with something in such a small amount of time
And speaking of The Grotesque and Pixelesque, I still need to finish Volume 2 (I'll go back to it once I finish A House for Alesa 3, which is going to be my biggest project ever)

Oh, and by the way
Many characters from my older games are coming back for A House for Alesa 3, both heroes and villains. Perhaps you're familiar with this character

Seems like I am doing good by playing all the games in preparation for Alesa 3, can't wait to see the All-Star cast fight or whatever amazing thing happens I am gonna miss good ol egg head Alex but he definitely looks more cool and collected, I wonder if Ceci will follow...Thank you so much for the sneak peak!
