Sounds good - and good work keeping the content flowing. I'm having some mild monitor issues, but I have a lot more screen real-estate, and it makes me appreciate how detailed everything is. I'll probably point that out in a full review when the VN is done, but...
A lot happened. Some of it involved a mythical land known as 'Canada.' My suspicions were confirmed, dashed, and re-fried. I feel that Criminal Garden has a charming laugh matching her likability score - but, getting ahead of myself.
What I really like about your writing is how you can alternatetwists the audience is likely to see coming, and more surprising stuff, and how naturally it flows together.
I liked Detective Honor's intercession, and I really liked both meetings of T.A.D.S; similarly, I genuinely didn't expect the twist towards the end at all, even though something seemed up and I can't help but notice that the sound that - activates the 'VM' seems... We hear it a lot. I feel like it's important, like the Devil's Chord in Gauntlet, or something. (Possibly, I'm overthinking things. I would not make a good detective.)
Hmn, I don't know if rambling actually helps or is just annoying, so I'll close with saying that it's okay to get a bit lazy - sometimes your body needs to recover. Coming up with incredible nicknames isn't easy, after all -
But so far, I'd say the hotel sections have really ramped up the story, somewhat like an ore -
Favourite track, combining the last two segments - Hotel Quail.
Best Criminal is... Probably Killersoul, whose killer soul must be protected at all costs, even though I also love gardening, statuaries, and gorgonzola! The last one may or may not have any thematic balance, but I feel it's important.
As a final footnote, the amount of fine hats/eyewear in this competition is off the chain. Yep, that's a perfect place to finish.
