Definitely needs some balancing, but I like the idea here and had a lot of fun playing.

A few things I'd say to improve:

  • Some kind of reticle or line to help see where I'm aiming
  • More forgiving enemy spawns - at the start of some levels and after jumping into pits I'd get ambushed with very low chance of survival
  • Auto fire - tapping repeatedly gets tiring, especially when tapping as fast as possible is the best strategy
  • Collision glitches - enemies got stuck in walls, and occasionally time pickups fell through the floor

Thanks for the extensive feedback. These types of reviews are greatly appreciated.

I will try and implement a line for aiming after the jam is over.  The enemy spawning was intentional because I thought the game would become too easy, but it just happened to be the exact opposite. I had initially implemented autofire, but continuously spamming fire made the game too easy to play so I removed it. I guess the best way to counter it would be limited ammo. And lastly for the collision glitches, that was fully on me because I saw them and I knew about them but just didn't have enough time to fix them.
Thanks a lot for the feedback once again. This was truly appreciated
