Happy Pride Month!

Happy Pride Month, everyone!

Here's hoping that the world will be more accepting toward the LGBTQ community. Some of you might notice that I don't bring up sexual orientation or include issues that the LGBTQ faces in my games. The thing is, I want fiction to be an escape from reality. I don't want to think about issues that'll make me sad. I just want to create a happy world where it's normal to like anyone of any genders. Maybe that's selfish of me. IDK. I'm an Asian living in Asia, so it's pretty conservative here. It's not as progressive as it is in the West. Hopefully, that'll change one day! I have hope! ^^

Personally, I love that your stories are focused on the characters and involve mainly happiness and fluff. I agree that games are an escape, and while some angst is nice, I want that happy ending. And I always know that when I start up one of your games, I'm going to have a pure and happy time. <3

While I obviously enjoy the BL romance and affection in stories, I myself am actually aro-ace personally. It can be hard for people to understand that there are others like me who don't want romance or sex for ourself, and are even made uncomfortable by it. I just want to live happily close to family and enjoy my hoard of cute/sexy boys in love. xD

Yeah, it's nice to see characters in a world where they can be happy no matter who they are X3 Thank you for your kind words

That your stories not bringing up those issues is exactly what I love about them!  I am also seeing this as the "end goal" - to use A Rook stares' words ;) - and I hope the world will get there someday soon. I am from germany and more of the open type :D I like people to know about my gender (genderfluid) and orientation (pansexual) mainly to put it on the table and encourage discussion. Maybe sometimes I also like to trigger but in the end I want people to say " nah, it's ok" at least or further that liking anyone of any gender will become normality and is not frowned upon. So I am always very sad to hear when people have the feeling the need to be closeted or hide it :'(  But I also have hope. Sharing your dream and wishing you a happy pride month full of love 馃グ

Here's to hoping that our dream becomes real! ^^

You should never feel bad about something like that. Also visual representation (what it technically is lol) matters as much as the ones who goes further.

Either way you are and should be making content which YOU should enjoy first and foremost. There will sadly be always people who say it's not enough, ignore them! If they have time being rude or demanding then they have time to come up with stories themselves. Nowadays if you have an electric device you can easily publish stuff but they don't and go to whatever random artists and expect something WITHOUT even paying for it. Enough ranting about them tho lol.

You should never feel selfish about something that doesn't really harm anyone (in this case it mostly just does  homophobes egos lol)

And i myself love "visual representation" more than the more detailed one, because: Everyone in that community  can relate to that it's less likely than an experience which always varies. For example i don't make a big deal out of my attraction or really tell anyone unless they ask and people like me are less likely to be fazed by lgbtq+ related discrimination than people who are more open about it. Not saying that it's okay or shouldn't be addressed but in visual representation it's the community that is the main point which everyone can relate to and the specific representation one is more about  a certain struggle which some can and some can't relate. Both valid just expressing my opinion ^^

Also it's nice for those who deal with those problems or read about them have stories where they relate to without: reminding them of real life, that are not over the top or just chill in general.

Also those stories are also normalizing the fact that it shouldn't matter (at least not negatively) which gender you are attracted to or what you identify yourself as. So those stories are in some way showing the "end goal" if you understand what i mean lol

Either way any realistic representation matters even the unintentional ones (which i count you in. Means you just do it because you want to not because you feel you need to which is valid and should always be the case about many other stuff in general too!).

And if you feel you want to just create stories you like and the way you want then you should! You don't owe us anything so never feel obligated or selfish because you are your own person and don't have to live or work to just please others by neglecting yourself, aka mental health/putting other people's opinion/"needs" before yours, and the way you want to express yourself or your opinions/beliefs in your stories!

Also for those people who i ranted before:

EVERYONE is entitled to have opinions but forcing them onto others is a no go and you can always find someone else who fits your liking more and does what you believe in passionately so don't waste your time trying to change someone's opinions or the way they want to write, express themselves and so on instead push and help people you like. This way no one gets hurt/harassed and you don't come of as a rude controlling person.

I hope i made myself kinda clear my english can be really bad lol if anyone is confused about a sentence then tell me and i try to word it better ^^

I hope this comment was not too negative if it was i can delete it ^^

For now take care and Happy Pride be proud of who you are :D

Thank you for your kind words. ^^ Like you, I don't tend to reveal my sexually publicly either. For me, it's out of fear and getting slapped by my mom lmao. I always have to make sure nobody is looking whenever I draw romantic CGs between the same sex. I would like to draw them in public on day when society is more accepting. XD

I see and i'm sorry to hear!

In my case it was because at the time i started to know that i was not straight there was still a lot of homophobia and also my father was born in a pretty conservative country (not that it means that you are automatically against whatever right but in his case he got raised that way). So i never really told people. TBH i feel much more comfortable being more on the closeted side anyways so in my case it didn't "scar" me. My mother isn't tho till this day really accepting of me not identifying as straight so i'm glad. I'm from Europe and we progressed compared to a few years and i'm pretty sure it's possible wherever you are in Asia too ^^

I hope wherever you are that people will be more tolerant to everyone regardless of identity and in all other places too!

Lgbtq+ rights are human rights too!

Never forget that you are not alone and that there are many spaces online where people from the community and allies can talk about the struggles of that or just have a safe space in general where it's more about just being able to be who you are ^^

Take care and Happy closeted Pride ^^
