Fun stuff! Wish I could hold the button to shoot, saving the world is gonna kill my wrist :D
For now there's not much reason to stay in the 'safe' dimension, that was a problem for us too, we know how to make a dimension switch, but finding a why turned out to not be easy!
I though the skulls and glowing stones did something, maybe you could use those :)

Turning the casting into either a hold to fire or always on is definitely an improvement that's in the works along with reasons to stay in your home dimension. Sadly , I just ran out of time to implement a reason other than "oh no, my health is low and there's too many of them."
