You can gain some points by doing the quest "Lost friend", also if you didn't took the payment for medicine when you cure him from his sickness it also makes him like you more. You can meet with him in the bar if he likes you enough, that's a start of the romance route.

Like red1979 said, at some point you can talk about hunting evening. If you make everything right there then you are going to get a heart and that unlocks the Hot Spring date.

Hey there!

Loving this game so far. :-)

I've done the hunting date about 3 times now. Relationship with Bernard is 43 and a heart is shown. However, the option of the hot spring does not pop up when I want to talk to Bernard... Any reason why?

What version are you playing? Hot Springs are available on 0.8 which is posted on Patreon. On Itchio it's only 0.7.

Any way we can get a full view of Bernard? There’s no ‘+’ option as far as I can tell...

I am a little bit deceived. Nothing happens with Bernard even if he likes me at 37 and I have done a lot of tasks for him, including 3 hunting nights, leaving the bed for him. No heart shown either. What did I miss ?

make sure you've exhausted all of the talk options too, there may also be other requirements (make sure you exhaust all talk options for all characters, esp the bartender for hints)

[edit] even talk options that don't have the question mark next to them can change/result in affection increases after revisiting them, so be sure to do so after every major event (especially the "ask if you can help" option for Bernard, the outcome of which can change depending on your character's STR)

Don't leave a bed for him. If you want to gain a heart you have to sleep with him in one bed.
