Yeah, I probably phrased that very badly, sorry! I love Thailand and the people and the pee was actually thrown by a farang (foreigner) in Bangla road. The worst I got from a local was a bucket of ice water thrown into the back of my TukTuk, and frankly I needed to cool down anyway ;)
Ah, I didn't intend to criticize your phrasing, just the moron who was treating a traditionial/religious event like a backyard water fight in a mental asylum.
Although, I guess we cleared out potential misunderstandings now, too.
Yeah, I don't think a lot of the farang treat the festival respectfully, sadly. They see the locals laughing and joking and having fun and think "oh hey, it's a silly thing!" and completely miss the spiritual aspect (and the fact that the locals really need this time to unwind and de-stress).
