I could certainly see about adding them as collectible easter eggs or something like that, sure. It would be nice for old players to have but extremely confusing for new players moving forward, so I don’t want to put them front-and-center.

But as a fun little unlockable? Sure, I don’t see why not :)

First of all, yes, my apologies for that darn window! It’s been giving more than a few people trouble and it will be given a good talking to in time for the next update (as will Robin forgetting all those delicious snacks that Jessica so kindly gave him! Ungrateful, that’s what he is).

Second of all, thank you for the kind words, the open mind and the support! It’s very much appreciated :) The more content is released, the more people will hopefully see how much I am directly copy-pasting from the previous version. It’s my intention to remove nothing, only add to the existing lore and setting, and I hope everyone enjoys the ride as I race back to Act Three!

The minotaur captain hasn’t been requested yet, so it’s nice to see her getting some love! ;) Swim Twins, Samantha, Kunoichi, Maven, her daughters and Artifact will all for sure be getting more events, too.

Artifact especially, as she’s an incredibly pivotal character and yet you only meet her like twice in the original :P

No idea, sorry! I could guess, based on how much I expect to be able to get done per update, but some things may take longer than expected and some things may take less time. Plus, I need to account for going back over previous updates based on player feedback.

I don’t want to give a number or a date and then risk disappointing people.

Yes, they’re getting a rework, and voice sfx will be included :)

As for things like changing speed and position, I can’t make any promises because I have to keep the game under 2GB so Android users can install it, but I’m definitely hoping to make the scenes more varied and interactive, for sure!

Translations are all fan-made, and I am making a special effort to make translators’ lives as easy as possible with this rework. I am in talks with the translators and just spent two days polishing translation stuff, so hopefully you’ll see a lot of fan translations coming out, including Spanish! :)

At least one power should be in for v0.3.0, and hopefully more :) Act One will largely remain unchanged, so I can zoom to Act Two, but I’ll be adding a few things just to better pace the character reveals (a couple pre-sightings of Gwen and Chloe, for example).

As for the daycare, yeah, that’s going to need a MASSIVE extension built onto it, now, haha!

Pixie’s dialogue is 100% lifted directly from the original version (I haven’t changed a single word). So have no fear, the more friendly Pixie will still emerge :)

And yes, Asteria will definitely be getting more content (as will the other Minotaur girls)!

It’s not in v0.2.0 (which only covers the prologue) but the system is already designed and functioning and it will appear almost certainly in 0.3.0 if not sooner :)

Wardrobe system has had a complete overhaul and is now properly built into the game, complete with a special section in the girls’ Codex cards that tells you how to unlock each outfit :)

It was indeed a titanic effort to completely rework all the underlying code, but now everything is WAY more stable, WAY more future-proof and shouold no longer catch on fire and threaten to “purge my fragile meatsack” every time I try to make changes to it :P

I’m releasing the rework as I complete each major chunk so that I can get feedback and adjust course as necessary. Everything is already converted over from the previous version, so we should be back up to Act Three in a few months if all goes well :)

Yes, the Academy girls are returning (nothing is being removed, only added to), there will be more places to visit, more lore, more events, more backstories… more everything! I hope you enjoy!

Corrupted Kingdoms is made in Ren’py, which isn’t a 3D game engine, so all the images are renders or pre-baked animations. Having two art styles would double the file size and my workload and just wouldn’t be worth it in the long run, sadly (I’m keeping the game below 2GB so that Android players can install it. Any higher than that and you can’t load an .apk file).

I hope you enjoy the rework once you play through it, and be sure to let me know what girls in particular you’d like to see get more content! :)

As for the story, I will only make changes that I am forced under threat of banning to make. Other than that, everything that everyone liked about the previous version - story, characters, events and easter eggs - will all be staying.

Unless payment processors force my hand, nothing will be removed. Only added to!

My hope is that you can start a family with EVERY girl in Act Two in the remake. So keep a list of all the girls you meet, check them off as you have kids with them, and if I move into Act Three having missed any then you can throw one tennis ball at me for every missed girl ;)

Honestly, if I’d tried to change Lyx in any way she’d have just reached into my codebase and rewritten it while I slept ;)

Unfortunately, the old version is the reason CK is still delisted :/ And with payment processors putting more and more pressure on shutting down mind control content, it’s only a matter of time before Itch writes it into their ToS.

The old version is still available on the CK Discord servers (held onto by mods who are ready to give it to everyone on request, which I absolutely did not provide to them and ask them to do. Cough cough). But unfortunately that’s the best I can do until various world governments finally give Visa and MasterCard the spanking they’re asking for.

More powers will be automatic but some will still be manually activated (so that you can choose when, where and on whom to use them).

Fisher and Fish are the first two characters met as they serve to let new players know early on that, hey, you’re going to be meeting some weird people in this game. Plus they’ll have an important role in the future as the boundary between the City and the Outskirts.

I can have Pixie’s old outfit brought back in as an easter egg for her to wear sometimes, for sure.

And yes, more Luna and WAY more side girl content coming! (I’m actually doing away with the Main/Side/One-shot girl categories in the rework - ALL girls are “main” girls now!) :)

Yeah, I was at the point where the code was developing sentience and a taste for human blood…

You can, yes. I deliberately used a differet identifier key so the new version won’t overwrite your old one :)

I’ll take a look at the bottom text - it should be the same size as the middle text, but the UI went through so many iterations in testing that it’s possible something went wrong!

The audio balancing I agree with, and it should be all normalised for the next update. It’s on my list, but other things kept taking priority ^_^;

As mentioned in the post above, the story is continuing exactly as it did before - same characters, story beats, events, and so on and so forth. The prologue itself, from the moment you go to sleep, is 99% copy-pasted directly from the old version (just some minor tweaks made to fit the text into the new UI layout) :)

It will install separately - I gave the rework a different identifier key to make sure that everyone’s original saves were preserved :)

Ironically, this is the third time I’ve had to resdesign the look of the game. The art style you’re mourning was, when it was introduced, subjected to the exact same complaints you’re levelling at the new style :)

Hopefully you can learn to love the updated look, but if it’s honestly too much of an adjustment to make and you feel you simply cannot enjoy the story without the old style then I understand.

I’ve already converted everything from the old version across, so progress should be swift - all I need to do is plug it into the new systems, remake the renders/animations and add the new goodies. I’m aiming to be back in Act Three within a few months.

I could have just not updated at all until Act Three was ready, but I didn’t want to make people wait any longer, and I wanted to be able to adjust the game based on feedback as it went.
