He's not great with technology - he's probably trying to shout at the people in the videos and getting annoyed that they're not listening to him :P

Christmas Elf Annie! Thank you, and happy belated birthday! I hope it was a great one :)
Haha, my mom will be visiting in three weeks but I'm not going to make her bake while she's here... good memory, though!
Hope you have a great holiday time, and the New Year brings nothing but good things your way.
Do not edit variables. That's how things get broken beyond repair.
Lyx will appear after you've been in a location fight (ie. tried to conquer a location), and sleep. But if anything else happens overnight it will interrupt the event, so just keep sleeping.
If you're not getting her then either you already had the scene and forgot (there's only one and it's very short) or you're running an unofficial version (such as a translated version) or else you or someone with access to your game has been messing with the variables.
I've never heard of this issue on PC before... it sounds like your drivers are out of date, and they're unable to read the .webm files. Make sure your OS is fully updated and your video drivers are all up to date. I can't point you towards the necessary resources, I'm afraid, as I don't know your PC's specs.
No, your saves are automatically detected by the new version - just download, extract (and install if you're on Android) and play! :)
If you're on Windows, Linux or Mac you can delete the old folder no problem. If you're on Android, however, DO NOT DELETE THE GAME or you'll lose ALL your progress (Google won't let me utilize their cloud saves because game is naughty :P )
I'm a solo dev, so I can't really do hugely branching storylines, but your decisions to Awaken/Shatter or to be Kind/Cruel do have an impact on dialogue, certain reactions, and as the storyline progresses (and I don't need to worry as much about creating unmanageably huge branches) the impact will become more prominent :)
That being said, you're not going to be "punished" for your choices. Neither the game nor myself is interested in enacting any moral judgements. Just be aware that you'll get the ending(s) you aim for!
Links to Patreon and Subscribestar are at the top of the page. If you're having issues with downloading from Itch then you'll have to take it up with them, I'm afraid. I have literally zero control over their servers.
There's no skipping function as there are thousands and thousands of variables and it would take all my time to make (and players about 30 minutes to click through all the "did you do X, Y or Z" options). If it doesn't exist in AAA games, assume it doesn't exist in games made by a solo dev ;)
There's also no reason to skip, usually. Your saves are automatically transferred to each new version so you can just pick up where you left off.
