Oh, gosh! The sense of... mmmm... like, claustrophobic paranoia I got from this was so intense! There's something very urgent and pressing about the whole aesthetic?? The music especially. Maybe it's because it reminds me of something or because of the instrumentation used, but it just left me with this very like, feeling of growing urgency and tension that was really terrifying(??) Also the stark purple color palette, which made everything feel dark and surreal.
I liked this a lot!! I'm left wondering who in the world this Wyn character actually is. The first couple of endings I got felt like they ended on a positive note despite the uneasy and unnerving vibes. Perhaps because I'm a very agreeable person by nature so I wanted to answer in nicer agreeable ways at first, but then with each play-through, I kept saying less and less agreeable things and it felt like Wyn was getting more annoyed each time HAHAHA until then I got the ending where, erm, things go quickly south. Once I got that one it was like the confirmation that this guy is, indeed, bad news despite the ok endings I'd gotten previously. WHO IS THIS GUY????? Unsure if I did get all the endings, I think I got 5? Not sure if there are more. But somehow the order I played them in worked so well. Like watching Wyn become more and more persistent and aggressive before finally having enough and refusing to put up with me anymore lol.
At any rate, this was really well done and has just left me with this quite, unnerved(?), feeling now after playing it. That music in particular GOD. It's still like racing through my head. Also really enjoyed the art -- both the sprite of Wyn himself, and then the title menu art with that exaggerated perspective, that's really nice. Especially as each time you get an ending and it goes back to the title screen with that music playing again and I'm just like... (o__o)... growing in building tension and paranoia each time HAHAHA. Really lovely job!!
